Hi! I'm new to Woot. Just came across it for the first time yesterday. I've read many comments about shipping time frames etc. I have not seen the status of my purchase change from yesterday to today. Just want to be sure my purchase went through smoothly and the unit is in the process of being shipped. Kind of anxious to receive my Toshiba Tablet.

Can't wait to get mine! Refurbished items are the best! I imagine that with the use i'm going to give this new "baby", 90 days is plenty of time to see if anything is wrong with it. My laptop is three years old this week, used heavily every day and , yes, refurbished. Never had a problem.

This is my first WOOT purchase, and I ordered sometime yesterday around 11:00 AM. I didn't see where it was 2-day shipping or that I should get by Christmas. Is there someplace I can confirm that, or will all of these Thrives ordered yesterday ship 2 days? MAN, that would be so good to get this by Christmas!!

There was an icon below the picture of the item saying "Arrives by Christmas" (the same one shown under today's iPhone dock). About midway through the description there was another icon saying "Shipped Two-Day".

The little icon when I ordered said it would be here by Christmas, but I'm beginning to wonder. So far when I check the status of the order, it simply says the order is in. I have not even been charged yet. Is everyone else experiencing the same thing? I only wonder because it is getting down to the lines for shipping..

No shipping information has been sent to me yet, but I did tracking by reference on FedEx's web site and got the information on the shipment.

Just grab your order number and head on over to https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking and enter the order number in the "Enter Reference" section, then select the Destination Country and then enter your Zip Code and click Track.

If you get the details on your shipment, you can click on the "Get Link" icon near the top right of the page to use as a bookmark so you can refresh 100,000 times over the next 2 days to see if it has moved.

Get your order number from your w00t receipt, go to the fedex tracking site, track by reference, plug in your order number, delivers to the usa, put your zip code & you will get your tracking number...mine says it will be delivered by 4:30pm on 12/22 & I'm on the east coast.

I just got mine an hour or so ago. Everything looks great, however I can't seem to find the marketplace app on mine. Does anyone else who got theirs' have the marketplace on it?

Mine also doesn't appear to have much "bloatware" as some had mentioned.

got it - OS needs updates and they will NOT install, spent 90 minutes on the phone with Toshiba tech support - they had me do lots of test, say the unit is defective - sending back...SAD

just got mine... plugged it in, set it up and then walked away from it for 10 mins... came back and it was stuck in suspend mode.. had to hard reset it to get it to come back on. Now it's randomly rebooting every few minutes. Trying to decide to RMA it or try doing the updates. I don't think it should come like this out of the box especially if it came sealed from toshiba as "certified refurbished". What exactly did they do to certify it? ...and yes it has 3.1, not 3.2

There sure seem to be a bunch of these with problems. Mine isn't delivered yet, but I'm getting really nervous now. This is my first Woot; I hope I am not disappointed as many others have been today.

I packed up my Kindle Fire to give my grand daughter, and I'll sure be in a pickle if the tablet has issues.

Got mine about 11:00 this morning.... Earlier than expected. During set-up, it prompted me to update from Toshiba. During update, it restarted and then froze on a screen that looks a lot like the Android Download Mode screen. I held down the power button until it turned off. Turned it back on, and it worked. Not sure if the update completed correctly. Says it's Android 3.1 still. Been using it all day with no problems. It did freeze up once (complete lock-up, like a Windows device commonly does). Odd because I never had that happen to my Android phone... Only automatic reboot or "Force Close." At any rate, I just held down power button to shut down. Turned back on and it is back to working fine.

Seeing the comments on here, I hope my luck continues and my device will continue to work fine with no major issues.

Anyone else get their device today and it works fine?

Just got mine. Fired it up and it had a bunch of dev apps on it and none of the thrive apps or market place. No way to update or anything. Called Toshiba tech support twice and the first one had me do a factory reset (which I told him I had already completed). Then while that was finishing, he told me to call back (and would not wait the extra 2 mins to verify after reboot). Called again and the lady support rep stated I should return it to woot as its within 15 days. Geezsh. Woot RMA or Toshiba?

Android Market is under the app drawer. I believe the app drawer is on the toolbar on the bottom of the screen. Can't remember for sure b/c tablet pulled my Launcher App from my Google account and now my screen and icons look just like my phone (which is heavily personalized).

Toshiba Marketplace App is right there on the home screen (was on mine).

RMA Woot. They have a no-questions-asked return policy. Toshiba will give you a hard time.

Spoke to Toshiba after reading comments about updating. Mine did not update correctly, but seems to be working mostly fine as stated earlier.

Guy with Toshiba guided me through the update process and it still won't update. He said this was his second time today with this same issue and said that maybe it is something on Toshiba's end. He thought that maybe the tech department is working on a patch for the update and also said that maybe the update is not working for ANYONE. He said that if this is the case, update should be up and working fine within a couple of weeks. I plan to hold onto mine until then and see if update works in the coming weeks.

Tech guy also said that these refurbished devices have a 1-year warranty from Toshiba as of the date I purchased it (he checked under my serial #) and the 90-day is through Woot. You just have to register your device with Toshiba to get the 1-year warranty.

Just to test what the tech hypothesized... Has anyone been able to update to firmware version 3.1....0032 today????
