laughable reviews on Amazon
Though based on Amazon's $22.79 price, this is theoretically a great deal... if the product didn't suck.

No thanks Woot. The multiple 1 star reviews on your parent company's website have told me all I need to know.

Looks like it's an "As Seen on TV" product...

They offer the full set on their website.

Sorry...not stable enough for any real work. My company positions and drives thousands of screws weekly (hex head and straight drive) and this driver, like many of the gimmicky drivers out there, simply are not robust enough for real work. But, don't take my word for it......visit a job site, I swear on my eagerly awaited Mr. Beer kit that not one professional tradesman (err, tradesperson if I am being PC) will have one of these.

A quick google for reviews of this brought me to amazon with a rating of 1 star...

The idea seems useful but after reading some reviews I am hesitant- this particular brand doesn't seem up to snuff in terms of craftsmanship and ease of use, at least from a professionals' standpoint. Wobbly, breakable, and seemingly more headache than its intended purpose. Seems like a good deal money-wise though. I ready somewhere that Craftsman makes a better one.. link anyone?

Been there, agree 100% with the reviewer at Amazon (who is not me). Wobbly, loose, bad fitting, poor quality and materials. It would be expensive at half the price.

For one brief, joyously nerdful moment, I believed that I was going to be able to purchase a sonic screwdriver.

But alas, today was not that day. =(

Horrible Amazon reviews. Plus, when you try to leave the company's website, it opens a pop-up to try to stop you. This is always a red flag to me that I'm about to get scammed. Goodnight.

What it DOESN'T do the first half!

Seriously, this would come in real handy if you're drilling holes for screws (to prevent wood from cracking). It's easier than working with separate drill/screwgun. Unfortunately, it looks like a cheap piece of carp.

Hmmm. I was all set to order three of these... then I checked reviews on Amazon, and changed my mind. I wonder if some other company has a similar -- but better -- product.

Me three. And unfortunately, going by the Amazon reviews and the comments here, this isn't nearly as useful (or even useful, for that matter).

You would think that 'as seen on tv' would imply that millions of Montes and Mortimers would have seen it and had something to say... Amazon.com has only 3 reviews and all are less that medioker in their love for this one.... Dang.

I have one of these, but paid over $20 for it a few years ago. It works but it's very big and clunky, and very, very looong. A traditional DeWalt or Makita drill driver is much better, and much more compact.

Even if you only buy one for $8.99 it'll be 93$ off the original price of $128.65 - If you buy 3 it's almost 96% off! That is INSANE! Thank you woot for saving us so much money.

Craftsman apparently used to make something like this years ago, but stopped making it.

Piece of advice, folks: even at its near $9 asking price, steer clear of this item. The majority of "As Seen On TV" products really mean "overpriced tat with cheap construction and even cheaper quality control".

A massive price drop like that is a clue to it's worth.

This particular product does not look very safe or stable to me... But the concept is good. I have a quick-flip Dewalt DrillDrive, like this which is really handy when I am putting in a large number of counter-sunk screws "on the fly" and were drilling and driving the screws one at a time.

Well, look at the bright side fellow whovians.

Wiven the amount of versitility that this screwdriver claims to have, it at least gets us nerds that much closer to the sonic screwdriver that we crave.

I'm a "hobby type" woodworker in my off time. I was given this as a gift for Christmas, and after about 15 minutes of use...I threw it away. Im kind of picky about what I do, and how I do it.

For the person who wants to drill a hole and put a screw in it once or twice a season...it is great. For the person who may want to drive 100 screws with pilot holes in an afternoon...stick with what you have.
