Thank heavens the saleswoman told me that with refrigerators these days, it is insane to purchase one without an extended warranty. I did so, but I did not do so for the Maytag washer I purchased at the very same time, and the motor died during the second year - right after the first anniversary of the purchase. Major appliances are horrid IMO nowadays.

goodnight everyone I missed. Babies in bed, no TV in the queue so I'm trying to think of a good reason to not work right now. My friend in Korea just sent me episode1 of Sherlock Season 2 and I was naughty and watched the teaser on PBS while putting Ver3 to bed. I'm never going to survive the wait, why should I pretend, I'm going to have to cheat.... why oh why do I let geniuses toy with my heart?

Agree with Joyner, nice day on tap here on the east coast.

re appliances: They break. No getting around it. The more gee-gaws, the more likely something will break. The key is to get one that is easy/cheap to service.

Is your refrigerator still running?

better catch it before it gets away.

Depends on the beer. There are some I avoid, some I don't mind, and some I quite like.

These empire blue cross commercials are driving me crazy.
No, your granddaughter's band would not be playing Born to be Wild.
They wouldn't even know that song.

Plus, who ever is selling the rights to these songs for commercials should be shot!

The one that's driving me crazy (and I don't know the product) is the one where they're singing Alouette.

Alouette, gentile alouette,
Alouette, je te plumerai

It sticks with you forever!
And why did we all have to learn and sing that in grade school?

Anybody remember the abs product in a woot-off way, way back? It was up for hours and hours and hours. Just thinking of it 'cause there's an ab lift on Woot now.
