Never came over here then as hubby was in nursing home and I was rarely online except to check the midnight offering. Back then, most were pretty cheap and innovative when not for the technically astute.

Speaking of Gatsby - or mentioning him at any rate - he never pops in any longer. Where is he? I know up in Seattle - hopefully not skiing last weekend.

My impression, you're far more apt to find Gatzby in a bar than on the slopes.

Over on deals someone posted a monkey deal from Amazon. I know, so not the same thing - but cute monkeys anyhow.

I was surprised BTW to see that Panera does not pay better. Bringing the food to the table (they do so at mine but not up the road in the next town), cleaning up, emptying the huge amount of trash alone - egad. And everyone who works there is so welcoming and patient. I would have thought they were probably being paid above what other similar restaurants do. I think the service is wonderful at every store I have been to.

No ten hour day today, though yes, I have been online a fair number of hours already today.

I am ever-present. Looming, even. Just not in a ceiling cat way.

I have to be here just a little longer, then I promise everyone I will go out and do something fun and entirely offline (except to check on the bus status, I have a handy app for that)!

In fact I'm pretty certain I'll be making it an "offline" weekend.
