She is also not allowed to take the top down until we tell her she can - at least 6 months. Probably going to have it temporarily disabled.

we had a g6 and liked it. Good morning everybody.

Just read that the average water bill per year for a family is $335. Just checked ours (I keep a yearly total in the file) and it was $340, but there's only two of us. It was a lot higher when the kids were here but that was 15 years ago, so it'd be much higher now with the rate increases. We average about $28 a month.

We average $21/month. 2 adults full time, 2 kids part time, plus a boat load of aquariums. Be more interesting to know gallons used, since price varies widely.

Nice car. Please explain the logic behind the top-down moratorium.

In the news this morning, NPR said it could triple in cost due to pipeline maintenance, or somesuch.

The infrastructure (roads water delivery pipelines electrical grids sewers etc.) have generally been allowed to deteriate so taxes can be kept low . Looks great for the politicians in the short term but sooner or later it all catches up and an even greater price has to be paid to just maintain what you have. I deal with this EVERY friggin' day.

You hoped in vain. Oven shut off after about an hour or so. Cleaner than it was, but not clean like it should be. They're coming back out on Thursday. This does not bode well.

Was going to use it this evening, but if the thermostat's not working again, that might not be a good idea.

I have a real bad feeling about this. A new oven might be in my immediate future. Anybody have or know someone that has a wall oven with the door opening to the side?

Interesting. No idea what we pay for our water. We're on a well and septic system, so in one sense it's all "free" in that you never get a water bill. But then you also have to consider the cost of the well pump, electricity, water softener, filtration systems, maintenance, etc. to make the well water usable.

Still probably cheaper than city water. Especially for "wasteful" use like watering the yard or filling the wading pool, since the outdoor spigots all bypass the treatment sequence.

That's what I was afraid of. Per our prior conversation, those Kitchenaid in-walls should not be run in self-clean. Googling Kitchenaid self-clean results in a law firm as the first hit, so that should say something? There is probably a class action suit against them.

The easy fix is don't use the self-clean.

Odd in that I know I used the self-clean at least three or four times prior to having a problem.
