I don't pay for water - I have a well. Apparently a very good well, for a shallow drive-point! Didn't even smoke the pump.

edit - and I think mebbe the guy is overestimating cuz it shuts off at 125 gallons and they haven't hit the 2nd shutoff yet.

and the peeps are gone.....got 750 gallons but there is still a lot of water down there under the flooring. Brought in a bunch of dehumidifiers and dryers and stuff and they will be back tomorrow morning to start ripping up flooring and tearing out drywall. yay. One of the guys kept bagging blankets and towels and anything wet and carried them up and put them in the garage. Now do I bother to go thru any of it or just say to hell with it all....

We ventured out to view the tornado damage. Wow! Our EF2 caused EF4 damage because of the contours of the valley.

Lynn-did you find the kitty? When my hotwater heater blew a couple of years ago, it did not damage much because in this house it is in the garage. Had the same thing happen years ago in a basement, and it was awful. Darned water everywhere, and all it takes ia a very short while before it starts wharping(sp?) the wood and the tile and - egad girl - try to not overdo.

no, my cellar-dweller is still AWOL. Goodness knows where he is hiding. Amazing creatures - the places they find to hide still baffle me. I can go thru all the places I know of and still not find him, then turn around and there he will be, sitting behind me. Just not today Too much noise with all that equipment running down there.

edit....update - James has been located =^..^= His sister Lily just came to me and I asked her where her brother was (yes, they are littermates) and then I knew (Lily told me )...I went to the closet where she likes to sleep and there he was....tucked down behind a suitcase. Dunno how one of the biggest cats in the house can make himself so small lol!

When?

Next month. Will have to get ok's from insurance and work and such.

The surgery has really good success rates, so I'm not too worried. If it means I won't get sinus infections every other month, I'll be happy.

Follow up visit the next day to remove padding, then a 7-10 days for everything to heal up. Can't do anything too strenuous, but the doctor used 'run a marathon' as an example of something overly strenuous, so I'm not sure anything I do in a normal week would come close.
