I don't think I could get much work done in a burger, to be honest, regardless of the shape of the container. ;)

I'm finished wasting money on plastic storage containers only to have them make my food that is stored long term (like dry cereal) taste like plastic. Its glass or nothing for me.

I got these last time they were on woot & love 'em. To demo their water-tightness for my kids, I filled one with canned black olives & their juice... then tossed it up to the ceiling & caught it. Absolutely no drips! Semi-space hogs in the drawer, (same-size can't nest into each other) but worth it.

Why would you want to work in a burger? I prefer to work in an office.

So food can't get stuck or hide from your spoon in the corners.

Bought a blue-lidded set last time. Made in Vietnam (glad it isn't yet another product from China). They are awesome, I'm in for another set! Used most of the original set to store specialty grains for homebrewing to keep the weevils out (or in).

I see someone said not to buy Lock and Lock. I am wondering why? I have had a few for about 5 yeras with no issues. What problems have other's had? Maybe the quality has gone down? thanks!

I want to give one these for a gift, does
it come in retail packaging?

I don't want people to think I got it off the
truck or something.

They are not in retail packaging, just gently packaged in a woot box.

I just bought 3 of the sets. Love, love, love these containers. I have too many already but they make great gifts. I might still keep some anyway... just need to hunt down some cabinet space though.

flashburn02 wrote:These work fantastic. Note though: they do not repel stains what so ever. Every container I've used from the previous woot is now permanently the color of the food I first put in them. The "real" tupperware stuff stains less easily.

Although, I'm also a dude - so I don't really care about staining. In case you do, be warned!

If you're concerned about the stains all you have to do is go to the dollar store and buy a jug of bleach to soak your containers in. Problem solved.

My aunt got me a set of purple ones when I moved into my first apartment two years ago. They're extremely durable and much easier than dealing with the regular old tupperware my roommates brought. I love them!

Just want to warn people - this set is HORRIBLE:
1. They do not nest into each other. It doesn't sound like much trouble, but it is. They will take all the space in tupperware cabinet.
2. The lids come in several VERY similar sizes. Seriously, which genius had an idea to make lids that differ by 1/2'' ??? Impossible to pick a right lid from the first try and very, very frustrating.
3. You can't return stuff to woot. underwear.

Anyway, I got this set several months ago, and this is literally the worst purchase ever.

Yeah, I had that lid problem too, until we took a sharpie pen and used different symbols to mark each lid and matching container.

Great idea, but the hinges are plastic. They break with use. I love the inner seal, but I returned a similar set I purchased elsewhere due to an immediate hinge failure. I would gladly pay triple for a set with decent hinges.

"Stacking" doesn't mean "nesting." The containers don't fit into each other so they take up a butt-load of room in the kitchen cabinets.

Anyhting that I open and do not finish goes into lock and locks....no waste and everything stays fresh.

A counterpoint to this, before I bought this set, I had an entire cabinet and one whole cabinet drawer for the mis-matched set of plasticware and lids that I had before. After getting this set, I store the entire Lock&Lock set in the cabinet alone, and I just stack them with the lids on so I know which one is which. In my case, it has saved me one whole cabinet drawer and I don't have to fumble with the lids since they are stored with them on the container.

Everyone's situation is different though.

Bought these the last time around. They are a little odd to store, but we have a shelf in our pantry that holds all our containers like this. I love these ones. They are so much better than the older ones my wife has.

I store mine with the lids on and inside of the larger pieces. That way I always know which lid fits. Storage may seem like a big problem, but when you look at the BPA in most of the other plastic containers, as well as lids that stay or don't stay in place, seemingly on a random basis, then you realize these are amazing and for this price, a total STEAL! I replaced all my other plastics with Lock N Lock and I LOVE them!!!

I use these and these only and none of my food tastes like plastic. There is no BPA in Lock N Lock products and no plastic taste what-so-ever!

No. The quality remains very high and the products seem to last forever without looking like they have even been used. I LOVE them!

WOW! My first set is eight years old and has been used every day of those eight years. It still looks like new. I now am the proud owner of several sets and use them happily. My favorite part is the fact that they are BPA free. Check your labels. Most are not.

Impossible to store because they don't stack inside each other. Lids quickly warp. Not worth even this low price!

Got a set for my Mom for Christmas. Wierd gift, I know, but she loves them. The way they stack and fit together in the refrigerator helps a lot with leftover clutter. Everytime I go over she raves again about her containers. I know, she's got a very dull life. But, hey, whatever floats your boat!
