Is there any guarantee that I won't be transported into my computer when I plug this in? She's an old cranky lady who would likely do unspeakable things to me...

Retail is $99, seems so overpriced for a mouse...

Will this transport me to the Grid? Or heck, even just bring Olivia Wilde to me, I'd settle for that.

This mouse can't scroll left and right so it causes scroll gutters to popup on your screen if you have Mac OSX Lion. (unless you turn that off but then you can't scroll left for right) Decent price though.

Great mouse, bought it last time it was on woot. Can't beat $35 for a mouse with adjustable DPI. comes with its own tweaking program and all. It's a bit small for larger hands at first but you get used to it after 3 days.

I came back to change my comment, but Woot deleted it? All I said was "Again?". What part of that warrants deleting? Humph!

Well, what I came backto say is:
Is this mouse good for anything besides gaming? I don't really have time to play games...

The one I got the last time has been fine. Just make sure you actually install the software and take the time to set up your profiles and settings.

I got this when it was on woot before. It's a great deal for a gaming mouse. The mouse pad that is listed on Razer's website (and leaves glow trails as you move across it) doesn't come with it and you cannot buy it separately.

It's a good mouse. I got it during a woot sellout.

Some things I don't really like that could be a deal-breaker:

- The mouse makes a sound *every* time it powers up. E.g. wake your computer up from sleep, plugging it in.

- The mouse is on the small side, and it's very easy to accidentally press the side buttons.

Otherwise, it's a great gaming mouse, and pretty good for productivity too. I use it for making powerpoint presentations, great when you want precise placement of figures. Works well for gaming (Starcraft 2) too.

I'm sure this is a good mouse, but I've had nothing but bad luck with this company. Not sure if I should take another chance.

That write-up almost made me forget that I have to be at work in just a few hours. Almost.

Thanks Woot!

I bought one for my wife and she loves it. She is a big TRON fan, but most of that is because of the Legacy soundtrack by Daft Punk.

We use this on a mac, and there is no software or drivers for mac. The mouse works, and the DPI switching works, but no software.

Here is a link to the drivers: http://www.razersupport.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=98&pcid=87&nav=0,87

Only windows is officially supported, but, like i said, it still works.

Woot! had this for only $10 more WITH the mousepad. The person I bought it for to give as an Xmas gift has had nothing but praise for it. Woot! had the mouse alone on several times before it showed the mouse/mousepad combo so there is a chance woot! may offer the combo package again.

I bought this one last time it was on woot. It randomly likes to disconnect from the computer for 5 seconds and re-initialize itself. Needless to say, this is not convenient if you are playing a game.

That would be a defect not a feature. Send it back.

Razer's motto should be "by gamers, for gamers... Who like to waste their time." The mice are small and cramp your hand, always have been even for people with medium sized hands. Plus I just read on here that you can't side scroll because of software issues? Their headphones are cheaply made and therefore break with even light use, and their keyboards have to be constantly unplugged and plugged back in until you decide you can't stand using it anymore cause it constantly stops responding.

Everything they make is way over priced, and their customer support is worse than Sony...

One other thing, funny how thus mouse goes for $99 retail, yet woot has it for $30, and you know both razer and woot are still profiting off this sale so what does that tell you about the quality of the parts and manufacturing process?

I wouldn't buy from them ever again... /End rant

Ok woot! for as Freaken Awesome! as I think this is I don't have use for it. But if you could please get your hands some of those Tron- Monster Light Disc Audio Docks that would be even Freaken Awesomer!! and I definitely would have a use for one of those.

I bought this on sellout.woot. It's a small mouse that's great for claw/fingertip grip when gaming. It's definitely not made for a palm grip.

Overall, I like the mouse. The side buttons are right were you need them for very quick button presses, unlike almost every other mouse out there. You usually have to move your thumb from where it normally rests on other mice, which isn't good for a really quick weapon change or knife in FPS.

I've seen these on woot a few times now. I picked it up the first time it was around and I've been using it for a couple of months now. It's an exceptional mouse and has a sensitivity range that far exceeds what I think most people would ask for. It's very responsive and visually appealing. Definitely set up to be a "claw" or "fingertip" style mouse as it's fairly small and not really a great deal of palm space available.

As a gamer, the only thing it is missing is a sea of buttons. However, if you're just looking for a high speed accurate piece of hardware, this is a great deal.

I absolutely love mine. It is smaller, but I have smaller hands so this fits nicely. Though beware if you have large hands.

Also, the no-tangle braided cords that Razer puts on their mice (including this one) are the best I've ever seen.

How small is this mouse compared to other Razer mice like the DeathAdder?

RobinBobcat

quality posts: 30 Private Messages RobinBobcat

Definately worth it. Razer knows their mice, and while the hard 'edge' around it takes a little getting used to, it's responsive and plays well.

One thing to note: The packaging is awesome. No really. They put some effort into it.

I am using mine right now. And i LOVE it.

Like the reviews say, its not for people that can palm a basketball, but if you've got little hands it's simply epic.

I can't map all the buttons in SWTOR yet though.

I ended up getting mine from microcenter, since with the TRON pad, it leaves little light trails on the mouse pad in the dark.

Wait, this deal doesn't have the mousepad.

Fail. cannot recommend without it.
