Yeahhhhhhhhhhh. I'm gonna play *this* game, especially after zero in the way of a "customer satisfaction" response from support after four busted Barrels of Crud transactions in the past. Fool me five times, kick me in the nuts, etc.

See ya!

Took one (er, three) for the team on this one. May simply harvest the batteries when all is said and done but trying to help move this thing on.

Haven't seen many Woot-offs I take it? However, it is a bit unusual to have a killer the first morning of the WootOff.

The CR2032 battery (2 pack) runs $5.99 at BestBuy....so it's like a free remote from WOOT for the price of the batteries alone.
Doesn't make the remote any less ugly, though.

You can buy the CR2032 batteries at just about any dollar store. Glitterbuglights dot com has them cheap with free shipping.

Hmm, CR2032 batteries are $.99/10 at Chicagoland IKEA stores: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60207130/ so no objection here - I'm in for 3.

go to ebay and you will see many sellers in China selling remotes for your camera for $2. they work fine. they are the same IR remote that pentax sells for $20.

OK, but what if I wanted to "buy American." /sarc

When was the K-X on woot? I spent the last 6 months saving to fix my K200d. I could not find a deal on the kx. How much was it. I sure hope they do not have one today. I will be torn.

It was back in August. Priced lower than Amazon's 'cause it was a refurb and the colors were a little bit . . unusual.

Mine's white with black accents, like a penguin. Good camo when you stop to think about it. Takes good pictures, although the kit lens could be sharper and brighter. (I've made use of my old Super Takumar lenses with an adapter. You lose autofocus and have to go to AP mode, but that's a small sacrifice for better photos.)

Be patient. You never know when one may come up again, maybe in this Woot-Off.

If you are looking for a remote for your camera, or anything for your camera you need to post at this site: http://www.pentaxforums.com/
very knowledgeable group of pentaxians

Thanks. I'll check it out.

We ended up getting one of these for my Dad who was getting confused by all the buttons on the regular remote. We just wanted the power, channel, and volume buttons to make it simple (so we taped it shut.) Worked great!

Also - just picked up 5 CR2032 batteries $1.99 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. cheapest I found!

sorry but it's been a while since I've been active on a Woot-off. Who has the URL for a Woot-off monitor to funnel traffic off the Woot site or does anyone have those anymore?

i have gone through several threads and cannot locate a link to one.

Doubt it. It has a code identification feature, but that's assuming it has a code for the Roku which is doubtful.

You can resolve this by getting a remote that has a "learning" capability which means you have the Roku remote generate the signal for each function and have the universal remote capture that signal and assign it to a key. Somewhat painful to setup, but worked like a charm once I was done.

If I didn't already have a toy phone and an old model phone for my daughter to play with, this would be her cup of tea as well. Finally, someone who views this item in the same light that I do!

Incidentally, she's already figured out how to operate the TV and PS3 - I'm half curious and half terrified of what she'd do with this fully operational.

Dumbest question ever:
how do you control everything with your iPad. I can control my fios box with the Fios Mobil app, but how do you do the rest (PS3 for bluray, receiver, tv, fios). Is it seperate apps? are there "universal remote apps"? my ps3 needed an addapter for my AR universal to work, are other addapters needed? /dumbquestion.
