32GB retails for $280 new. You can get one used on Amazon for $199. (No I haven't been shopping for these today. Honest.)

You can buy good tablet nowadays for this price. The only purpose this has is to buy it to your kids and avoid buying an IPhone and data plan. That's exactly what I did.

Also, with all of the high-tech resolution comes a screen that is more prone to breakage. My daughter's xmas present lasted 3 days...

I bought one of these last time and it is a refurb. While it works, it has glitches here and there. It locks up, lags at times, and sometimes i have to push the button 3 or 4 times. If it had been new I would have returned it to Apple by now. However, I was worried so I got a Square Trade warranty so I am just holding out until something serious happens (and I am fairly certain it will) and redeem that.

I got a Vizio touch pad a month or so ago. It works just fine, costs $100 less, and has GPS and universal remote functions built in and is large enough to use as a Nook. (Which works quite well on it...) I think this one is significantly overpriced.

Son of a.... Just bought the 8Gb version from NewEgg not even 10 days ago! Would like to have bought the 32Gb version! Love it. Works very well in conjunction with my iPad (contacts, calendar, etc.), all data stays in sync between devices using Apple's iCloud mechanism.
