I have a roku 2 xs, anything fun to actually do with it? I got it as a gift, and added private channels... but I don't know, it just seems boring, even with angry birds

Forget Woot-Off Killers... this is a customer killer.

My brother-in-law bought this from woot a few months ago. He and the family are loving it. Even his little kids can use it with no problems.

hmmm... i was actually lookin at these when my computer HD busted. But then i snapped back to reality/awesomeness and bought a new HD.

thought about getting one of these one of the last few times they have been up, but with a smart tv, apple tv, and a ps3, i just can't justify it

got my mom a roku from woot and loves it - streams netflix on it.

@meh3884: I'm sorry your missing a great set-up day. If it's any consolation though, there isn't much to "set-up." Rokus are made to be easy-peasy. I think I was set up and running in under 2-3 minutes. I did have to change the output under settings to match my TV. The biggest problem I have had as an "uncabled" user is deciding on the channels. I have some private channels like justin.tv (which seems to be geared toward a different demographic than me) and Nowhere TV (which promises free, no hassle curated content) and it is also nice to get the BBC and Aljazeera live news channels from the official Roku "store" (both were free). I also have the free WSJ, NASA, Roku newscaster channels along with Crackle, Weather underground, CNBC, popcornflix & vanguard for movies and...you get the idea. What I really like though is one additional purchase and that is playon software. It allows regular HULU, TBS, Syfy, Comedy Central etc channels...etc...plus my own media. $ well spent.

I have one last time it was up on Woot and I'd say it's easily the best purchase I've made in 2011. And, strangely, I'm watching Downton Abbey on it right now too. Buy a box, they are awesome!

I want to know why a certain website insinuating ownership of woot (mywoot...) gets info faster than my own computer. I refresh and still show the old item, they are showing the new item. What gives? I emptied my chache and everything.

Yeah. And so does my XBox 360, my PS3, my Wii, my cell phone, and oh yeah... my f#$^ing COMPUTER.

Great price, but my TV already streams content, and it might get jealous.
