Long running question: what does this device become when Ooma goes bankrupt? Can we at least mod the firmware and get a router out of the deal? lol
This one time, I wooted off in public.

Bought 2 of these units just before XMAS and have them up and running and they are great.
Units arrived in perfect condition in original OOMA packaging and setup took minutes.
Added Premium to both units took advantage of a free Wireless Adapter and Free # porting.
The Wireless Adapter works great and the # Porting took ONE WEEK.
The voice quality is better than my old VONAGE line!!
If you had any doubts about OOMA....I have to recommend you get it. It will pay for itself in months.

netfortius wrote:[Q] If I use this with Google voice (somehow not necessarily directly related to OOMA) does anybody know what is the cost for dialing from outside US into the associated ph number (cell phone level charge, land line charge, Google outbound charge (this would be nice ;-), other?!?); what about the phone number "ported" to OOMA - what's the cost level for dialing into it from outside US?
Well...this does allow you to associate your GOOGLE VOICE # with the 2nd line on your phone and you can set it so that when you dial out it shows your GV number in the caller ID. They call it GOOGLE VOICE EXTENSION I think.
I am assuming that dialing into it from outside the US would be standard Long Distance rates depending on where you are calling from....that is unless you are calling from another OOMA device (Free calls from OOMA # to OOMA #) or using their OOMA App.
