Knock the price down $80, sell the Verizon model, and I would be in for 2 at least. My iPad 1st Gen 32GB and no 3G is still pluggin along after over 2 years of use. Yes, I stood in line to buy one just like I have for each of my iPhones.

These are great for young kids. So many apps to stimulate learning and a flawless interface. Once we got our first iPad our laptop started collecting dust. We don't even use the 3G, hotspots are everywhere. Also for $15 a month you can turn your iPhone into a hotspot to run the iPad from. All around great product.

Yyyeah ... I was quoting the AT&T page and noting that woot doesn't require a data plan. So I think we agree?

actually, from what i've heard, ipad3 is still being held back until summer at the earliest...

I don't think this is THAT bad of a deal. Yes it's last gen and an even newer model is due for this year, but it's not like the iPad 1 was a piece of crap. Also, they're still (and probably will forever remain) very easy to jailbreak, something you can't say about the more recent models. As far as putting down the storage space goes, you plug into iTunes and you'll find that your storage space is going to be eaten up very quickly if you're only working with 16 GB. I can speak from experience.

Yes, if you want to use the 3G capability. The one from woot! has the same requirement, but the one from woot! isn’t new and it costs $5.00 more.

Funny thing is I'd usually bite the bullet and buy something to get this thing moving but I can't do it for a few hundred.
