She's a mechanical engineering major at a Big Ten school (Southern girl in the midst of a bunch of yankees). And I bought her a monkey for Xmas during the last woot off and she got a big kick out of that. So I think you are right.

They have colleges in Mississippi?

Of course we do, there is even one right next to Whitfield even. Next time you pass thru Jackson, stop by Whitfield and stay awhile. If you say you're my guest they will even give you deluxe accommodations. Now see, what we Mississippi folk are known for is our hospitality. I do hope you enjoy your stay!

Susie- do y'all have the indoor plumbing yet? We have that now here in Tennessee but a lot of people up north are surprised to hear that.

Also, 99 percent of our women now have shoes.

Hmmm, wonder if this will be my 100th quality post? Nah, probably only when pigs fly!

I was never very into dolls as a little girl, but was big into stuffed animals. My favorites were always Gund. I haven't treated myself to something like this in a long time. I like breaking some rules, taking risks, and marching to the beat of my own drum. I can't resist a pig that flies!

I'm in for 3, because these seem like a great thing to have on hand for gifts. I don't yet know who the recipients will be, but they seem too great to surpass. I'd kick myself for not getting more... and I'm already quite sure I won't want to give up mine.

I fled my home in the Seattle area that's been without power, made my way through snow and ice, drove way up north to one of the few rooms available to an interesting hotel that takes dogs, and now I utilize the world's slowest wifi to make a Woot order. Electricity is wonderful! =D

Thanks, Woot!

Well, I caved and hit that big gold button about 15 seconds before the end. (Though I wasn't the last - I guess iProb8 wanted that "glory.")

My 3 y.o. daughter who is "pink-crazy" and so therefore loves her "pink-piggy" stuffed animals. Hopefully this will last at least a little while before dying.

I'm absolutely terrified by how people participated to this Woot off event.

A lottery where you have to stay up for three days so that you MAY end up buying a box which MAY contain something of some value, even if you may not need it.

Some of the people here didn't even work for this.

I'm scared. Is this how you choose a substitute for you dead God?

ask me about ebook readers and guitars

Just got my Three Little Piggies in the post today...

Only one Little Piggy has the strength to fly!

The other two Little Piggies try and try but poop out after a couple wimpy flaps. Tried some freshly recharged batteries in the one and nothing but the same wimpy flapping then a nose dive to Piggy Heaven!

Boy does the working Piggy flap away! Really cute and mom will love him.

Gonna make sure I have a really strong charge in the set of batteries but it seems that the two little Piggies have a weaker motor or something???

Anyone else having the same problem?

My three got here way down yonder in the Indian Nation yesterday. I have my stuff shipped to my sainted Mother's house because she has a nice porch for deliveries--my townhouse has a very vulnerable porch and most of the delivery guys won't leave boxes out there anyway--so I didn't pick them up them until today when Mom and I went for breakfast and a matinee show.

Originally I just checked one (it was good) because two are for my Grandgirls. Upon reading your post though, I checked the other two and they flap away merrily. Thanks though, because you know I'm not sure my Daughter or the girls would tell me if they were defective.

I don't think this was a sell-out, so most likely you can email service@woot.com (they will be back in the office Monday) and they might be able to replace your defective piggies. HTH

2 of my 3 pigs can fly. The 3rd... he tries. If I hold a wing the other wing flaps like crazy. I agree it seems the motor is weaker.

So, my pig arrived today.

It was pretty cute while it lasted, but it was pretty weak in flying from the start. However, my three year old daughter was quite sad when, after 5 minutes of flying around the house (carefully cradled in her arms) the piggy "got sick and can't fly any more."

So, with 3 rechargeable AAA batteries installed, I got... Nothing. I could have sworn those Philips batteries were charged. Oh well, time for some Eneloops. Same result there. Finally, after 3 fresh Alkaline's, I realized it wasn't a battery issue. (Yeah, I'm slow. I've just never received a defective item from woot before. So I just didn't see that coming.)

So, seeing the sadness in my daughter's eyes has made me wish that I'd either bought two or tried it out before giving it to her.

Oh well, off to figure out what to do about this...

I emailed WOOT about the issue of my flightless pig. While they have no replacement pigs, they took care of the problem to my satisfication (refund.) Now I'm weary of letting the kids play with the remaining pigs, because I think they will get sick as well.

Pushed the button...and it flew, right out of my hand. Haven't seen it since...Sometimes at night when it gets real quiet I will hear flapping sounds outside my window...go figure!
