I had this problem too. Plus my wifi wasn't working. Technically you could contact HP and they'll (supposedly) fix it, but I just contacted Woot and said that I had talked to HP tech support and they couldn't find a solution. Woot then promptly sent me a return label. BUT after letting my TP drain while trying to search for a router in order to run setup, I charged it the next day and now it's working fine. Still not a good thing to have that kind of problem straight from opening the box, but better than it being DOA. The return label is good for 5 days so I'm going to monitor it closely before making a decision

Just want to add that I got mine yesterday as promised on the FedEx tracking page. Looks new, battery was DOA, but charged overnight and it's perfect now. Woke up and was ready to play when I got up. ICS on the weekend. Thanks Woot!

Just got mine!!! I don't see any scratches, but Battery DOA, .Charging now and hopefully everything works (fingers crossed). Out of curiousity, How long does this take for a full charge?

Mine got delivered to my cousin's address and he told the volume keys are loose and didn't check the connectivity.

Mine arrived as scheduled yesterday w/60% charge. 2 hrs. later fully charged and all updates complete. Looks to be in perfect shape. I'm holding off on installing android until I see what happens with the latest source code release from HP. Only negative so far is it is a major fingerprint magnet. All in all, well worth waiting for. Thanks Woot.

Received my 32GB TouchPad yesterday. It's in excellent condition for a refurb. The only minor aesthetic issue (if you can call it that) is with the rubber seal around the edge of the screen. I assume it's because they replaced it. You can only really notice it if you look really close or run your fingers along the outer edge. But what do you expect for a refurb of an awesome tablet for $200. Also, there is a little "play" in the volume button, which somebody also posted about earlier, but I assume this is normal. Everything works perfectly though. So I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

I contacted Fedex because my tracking page still said that the TP left Irving, TX on 2/6 with today as the arrival date. I wanted to confirm that it would be delivered today. They (Fedex) responded that it is estimated to be delivered TOMORROW! The website still says today. I can only hope that it will be delivered today, but I think I am looking at another day here in MA. [long sigh......] How can they be so messed up and still be in business?

My tracking number still doesn't show on the FedEx site. So, I emailed Woot! again on Wednesday, Feb 8. They replied:

"Sorry about that. Unfortunately this order does not appear to have left our warehouse. Due to the error, we have initiated a replacement order to ship via expedited FedEx 2Day Delivery service ASAP. You will get an email with the new tracking number as soon as it is available."


I emailed again Feb 9 asking how soon is ASAP? I received this response:

"It will usually take a couple of days to process and ship out. Tracking data will be emailed to you as soon as it is available though."


Tomorrow is TWO WEEKS! How long to do I have to wait? *pouting*

To determine if your TouchPad is 32GB or 16GB, from the main screen select the "Launch" arrow at the bottom right. Then select "SETTINGS" at the top, and then select "Device Info."

Life is good! Almost burned out my PC doing a refresh every 5 minutes for a tracking update but mine just arrived here in north Cincinnati. It was a sealed HP Refurbished box inside a Woot box. Out of the box it looks perfect and had about a 37% charge. Showed 32gb with 29gb free. Quick checkout showed everything working fine. It's currently charging and performing the upgrade to 3.0.5. I'm going to be useless tonight for sure.

Got mine yesterday (ordered in the "but wait there's more" batch). Flawless appearance, but the battery was drained. Let it charge overnight, it seems ok, was able to verify 32GB.

I am having a problem with the touchscreen... I ran the touch diagnostic and one time it was flawless, the next time it was on a 30 second delay for some touches, but the button was not delayed (which leads to some really crazy interactions). Not sure if I really have a problem or perhaps my fingers aren't conductive enough (or too much perhaps). Plan on letting it charge fully today.

Waiting on CM until I get WebOS running correctly.

Got mine. Was worried it may have issues, be a 16 instead of a 32, have bad cable and etc, etc, etc... after seeing all the posts.

Proud to say my unit is 100% flawless.

Its brand spanking new.

Fired right up, connected to wi-fi, downloaded updates.

So, here is (WAS) 1 unhappy WOOTER who is now a happy wooter!

Thanks WOOT! Yes, it was a crazy mess and yes I had alot of issues and different ones then what others were experiencing, but the END RESULT was getting a 100% brand new tablet.

Still not sure it was worth everything I went thru but again, in the end, the main thing is my tablet was delivered brand new and with no issues.

Even my charger was brand spanking new ;>)

finally had mine delivered by FedEx today. It looks pretty good, only thing is that the rubber around the screen doesn't line up perfectly. I can live with that though. 32gb, WiFi works, touchscreen works, no problem with the volume buttons. It took waaay too long to get here, but I'm typing this on the touchpad and it works great.

Got mine yesterday in Connecticut. Right about as expected (5 BD to leave the warehouse and 3 BD for delivery.)

Came out of the package ice cold (can you say "on the truck overnight"?) and battery drained, but after 6 hours - everything appears to be working fine.

Cosmetically - it looks brand new. The only evidence of refurb I can see with mine is that the quick start guide looks like it got run over by a grocery cart - twice.

So far, so good!

Crap. I officially hate Fedex. Their website said my package was supposed to be delivered today, so I sat around at home all day waiting for it. I finally called them and they told me that the information on the website is wrong. The package is now supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

Put me in the fed-up category too. I've been waiting for the supposed delivery today too.
Fedex web site first promised a Feb 7 delivery, then Feb 9. I was an enormous fan of woot...but this has soured things. I think that the least they can do is refund the shipping charge.FWIW, I'm in MA.

I didn't sit around waiting, but when I contacted Fedex they said delivery would be tomorrow. I wonder if we contact them tomorrow if it will be on Saturday, etc, etc, etc.

When on the setting screens (and others) the TP cuts off the screen and shows only half of the menu.

I called Fedex again and managed to talk my way three levels up the chain of management by complaining about the "Estimated Delivery Date" vs the "Committed Delivery Date" (which they have on their computers, but do not share on the website). The last person to whom I spoke agreed to upgrade my package so it gets delivered before 10:30am.

Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen.

My boyfriend received his 16gb tablet yesterday, and I got my 32gb today. Both are 'Canadian' units. I wouldn't think that makes a difference, but per the fourth (edit: all 4) HP tech support person we've dealt with, it does.

The problem is the Canadian units won't connect to wifi in the US. Without wifi they might as well be bricks, right? So we can send them to HP as they "think" they can reconfigure them to work in the US. Or, they're just faulty units.

Emailed Woot last night on the 16gb issue and just now on the 32gb issue. Still haven't heard back on last night's inquiry. Not very happy with being told they're Canadian tablets when I'm in Arizona (I have snowbird tablets?)!

Will Woot swap these out with working tablets? Or am I SOL and have to deal with HP tech support? I think I'd rather get a refund than deal with HP since the tabs could have other issues.

Anybody out there have any suggestions?

Congrats to all who received a fully-functioning, good ol' US-version tablet. I'm very jealous and a bit miffed.
