I have a feeling that because on top of the fact that they use Smart Post, they are taking so long to process this item, I won't get this thing in time to film my kid's first birthday at Disney World.. Which sucks not only because it is his first birthday, but because this will probably be the only time we will ever go to DW

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya. I'm bumming out too because my son has a hockey tournament coming up that I want to record and I'm starting to get nervous I'll miss it. What is Smart Post?

I have never ordered from Woot before and had heard such great things, but I am starting to get a bit frustrated.

My card wasn't charged for several days, and here we are on "business day" 4, and not even any shipping info. Not how I think a good company should do business.

Woot, please get to the bottom of this and get our orders shipped. You may have 5 business days to get them out the door, but nobody likes the guy who gets his work done at the last minute. You should be treating the 5-business-day period as a last resort, not standard norm. I am very disappointed.

I would also say that an apology to everyone for making us wait so long is in order.

If it's that important to you, have a backup plan: iphone vidcams are pretty good, borrow a vidcam from someone, you might be able to rent one while there, probably at a premium (google "rent video camera disneyworld"). Check with your local public access channel; they may have a cheap camera you can borrow, for a small "membership fee."

Also: Yes; here we are on Day 5 and no change in status for me either. A little disappointed in woot; I am needing a backup plan now for my Monday project. I will say past experiences have been overall OK.

We typically process and ship out orders within 5 business days, not including the date of the purchase. Today is the third business day and we're working on shipping these out.

Don't fret, we'll be sending you tracking once your order ships out.

I hate to correct you, but "within 5 business days" typically begins on the date of purchase, if during business hours.

I am even more disappointed now that we haven't:

A - been given an explanation for the delay.
B - been apologized to for the delay.

I understand your policy and respect that delays happen, but an organization of your size usually only has such a lofty time frame to account for the rare occurrence, not for every order. People don't herald UPS for their lack of transparency and near-intentional delay of delivery...taking your time to get a product in the hands of your customers yet taking their money is not something to be proud of, or to defend. If a 5-6 business day turnaround (not even counting the likely abysmal matter of weeks it will take for shipping) is the rule rather than the exception, I don't think I'll be doing business with Woot again.

Very, very disappointed.

I just looked at my account page and see that I've bought exactly 25 items (which is $125 just in shipping) in the past two years and this will be my last item.

Things used to be jaw droppingly discounted but, doing the math, the last 3 items I bought only saved me 3-4% off Amazon (which has free 2 day shipping with prime) once you factor in the high shipping price (which is the worst shipping option I've ever had to deal with). Plus I can't even return defective merchandise. I spent 8 1/2 hours on the phone over the course of three weeks getting Samsung headphones replaced that arrived DOA because Samsung direct wouldn't qualify Woot! as a valid reseller to assure my warranty was valid. Amazon is unbelievably nice to work with on returns.

This Woot! was it for me. I only saved myself $10 or $11 and will have to wait a minimum of 17 days total(if it ships now) due to delays in FedEx getting the shipment to USPS in MA or NY. I'll miss two of the four events I got the dumb camera for. I knew better but really didn't think that a order on Friday would be delayed that much.

The Yaktrax and child snuggies we ordered as gifts last week are the same story pretty much but they shipped out in a couple days.

I check Woot! ever single day and dropped a lot of coin but sadly today I've removed the app off my phone, erased it from my daily routine, and am saying goodbye.

Woot! has obsoleted itself and there are far better options out there.

I have to agree. While woot has interesting stuff and I love the people who work for woot, I'm not going to buy from here again. We pretty much just got told to shut up, sit down and wait for our purchases like good boys and girls.

My husband was questioning me when I wanted to purchase the camera and I should have listened to him.

Oh well, I've learned my lesson.
May as well make a clean sweep. I decided not to order from Amazon anymore after their dishonesty with the whole tax situation.. And I shouldn't have expected Woot (which is owned by Amazon) to be any better.

I was refered to Woot by my Cisco instrutor so I figured I'd check'm out. This was my first "woot" and I am very disappointed. When it said up to five days I didn't worry because I have heard that before and it was usually shipped in the first day or two with other companies. If I don't get my camcorder soon I will have missed what I bought it to record!!!

Seriously Woot!!! Give an explanation!!! Upgrade our shipping!!! Do or at least say something or this will be my last "woot" as well!!! And when I say, "say something" I don't mean a repeat of company policy!!! We've already heard that!!!

Hey Woot! any chance of an actual update? Someone has to be reading these comments. A good business responds to their customers in a timely manner.

I've ordered quite a few shirts in the past and the shipping has slowed way down recently as well. Are there changes going on at Woot!? If so, the luster has definitely worn off and I'm no long inclined to tell new people about the wonders of Woot!. I used to sing your praises from the mountain tops, but now I feel like climbing back down and apologizing to all the people who heard me. Don't make me climb back down Woot!.

This is pretty typical Woot turnaround time. I have ordered many products here, and always for a great deal. Just don't ever order anything you need in a hurry. I for one can't wait for my camera to arrive. It will get here when it gets here.

That describes me perfectly.


It shouldn't be that we should not order things if we are in a hurry. It should not be a woot rep telling us to sit down and wait.. And I am not going to act as if Woot is doing me a favor by selling me a camera at a slightly lower rate than other sites. I should have just paid more to get it in a timely manner. This I know, and my lesson I have learned. It should not take this long to acknowledge people, and we don't have to be satisfied with a less than satisfactory address.

I will not eat them, Sam I Am. I will not eat green eggs and ham.

Edit: I think it would be less frustrating if either the processing time was sped up significantly, or you offered expedited shipping options.

I purchased my this item on Feb. 3rd and it is now the 9th and 5 business days have passed. Still no shipping update. This will be the last time I buy anything from Woot!. Woot has my money but I do not have my item nor proof of shipping. All I have is a receipt which I am considering getting a refund on. If there is not a shipping update provided by the end of business today (the 5th business day mind you) then I am going to request that Woot cancel my order and refund the money they have taken. I will then go buy this same camera on Amazon for $20 more and have it by Monday!

Why is everyone getting so worked up? The FAQ clearly says (paraphrasing) "within five business days, NOT counting the day that the product was ordered." Ordered on 2/3, then today is day #4. If you're in a hurry and something's really important, then why are you ordering it from a site whose chief attraction is low prices, and has never touted its quick shipping?

Why are you chimming in?? Do you work for Woot?? We assumed that they would act like all other companies, even those who give good deals, and would ship sooner and if not...give a way to track our order to reasure us our product was on the way. It's their lack of customer service that has so many upset, not their policy. Thanks for your unwanted input though.

I don't have a big issue with it taking 5 days, I have an issue with Woot stating that it typically takes 2-3 days but then gets all uppity and self-righteous and tells us that we should accept 5 days without whining. It's my money and I'll whine if I want to. I'm also not impressed that they charged my credit card the day I ordered it, most reputable companies wait until they actually ship before they charge you. I'll also point out that if 2-3 days isn't typical then you are lying to your customers and soon they will stop being one.

I live in an apartment building and I know UPS will leave it outside my door where any wondering low-life could decide to help himself to it. I'm getting pretty frustrated here with no shipping update yet. I ordered late on 2/3 so not counting that day that would still make tomorrow business day 5. This is getting pretty ridiculous Woot.

Gosh, forgive me for participating in the conversation. It's all spelled out in the FAQ, and (so far) it's happening (or not) exactly like they explained that it would. Seems that many people have really gotten used to NOW NOW NOW -- also seems like quite a few people ordered without reading the shipping FAQ first.

The few times that a woot employee has replied "we're working on it, they'll ship just like the FAQ says," they've been accused of telling people to "sit down and shut up."

If you're in a hurry, there are plenty of places that can get you your toys by tomorrow. This place isn't one of those places, nor has it ever claimed to be.

I don't work for woot; I'm just an occasional purchaser (who read the fine print before hitting the button).

So I have to take back my previous comments. I can confirm that they are likely telling the truth about them shipping but tracking not being available. I just answered the door to the UPS guy with mine.

I've already stopped my husband from buying several other things on here, simply because of this situation. As soon as this camera hits my door, Woot is not going to be an option for us anymore. The lack of a reply from anyone on Woot's staff is ridiculous and unacceptable.

Drop shipping.... That is some risky business. Woot!is providing their customers information ( name and address only im sure)to another company. That company is now responsible for these camcorders being delivered within the time frame that Woot! lists on their page. That is a pretty risky decision. Woot! has left the happiness of their customers up to another company. What happens if this other company does not provide quick turn around and get these products shipped in an acceptable time frame??? (see 100+ comments above)I hope you learned your lesson Woot! I think if every customer that bought one of these was given something ( how about a voucher for a free shipping or two?), Woot may keep these customers that they have had for so long. Its not so much about what you did Woot! as it is about what your going to do....?
