We contacted Nordictrac, they went over the parts list. We are missing one whole package of parts to assemble the treadmill. They said we would have the parts in a couple of days.

Somehow UPS didn't have a phone number and didn't update their website for 2 days (I've been checking repeatedly). So now I have to wait until maybe Monday before I can schedule delivery. Somebody dropped the ball at Woot if there are numerous people who didn't get their numbers on the shipping info.

Still more upset at UPS for sitting on it for a couple of days though.

Shipment arrived today. I also had to contact them to arrange shipment after they didn't get my number.

I discovered numerous missing nuts, bolts and screws, and several extras of some parts at least compared to what is listed in the manual.

Based on previous posts, is this common across all machines? Maybe I do have enough to put it together, just not as described in the manual.

Called NordicTrac support, and they told me to itemize all the parts I'm missing. (They didn't have a 'small parts' set they could send.) An hour later, they have now closed so I'll need to call back tomorrow.

By far the most frustrating woot ever.

Don't rely on the Manual, it appears to be for an older model. It looks like they improved the design but didn't make any changes in the manual. You don't need any extra parts, just a beer and a good thinking cap on. I am a little bummed out they didn't come with the IFit life card adapter and that you have to drop another 99 dollars in order to hook it up to the internet...

Just another heads up, while assembling, the stickers for left and right hand bars were switched... make sure the little welded plate is facing the inside of the treadmill....

I was missing a ton of parts, too, but after a couple hours of laughing and swearing I have a working treadmill (for now).

I did leave the plastic things that cover the bottom of the arms off (since in the manual that is one of the last steps and in reality they have to be slid on before the console...whoops)

And I didn't bother with the long bar with the circle adjuster which is basically for folding it up to store. Good thing, too, because I wouldn't have had the bolts I needed to get the console on.

Pretty ridiculous.

No problem with UPS.

This was my first woot, and judging by other comments this level of frustration is not the norm. I certainly hope so.

- There is no middle bar. That part was used to connect the rod that lets the treadmill fold up, and that rod now connects directly to the treadmill base.

- The wheels connect using these brackets that insert into the base, and are screwed in using the same screw that attaches the rear foot. The axle is not a bolt (as stated in the instrucitons), but a silver cylinder that fits in the bracket.

- There are two heavy "C" shaped parts marked "right" and "left" that attach between the large gray arms and the treadmill base. There are pegs and holes that make the attachment pretty clear. In the instructions, they make it seem like the arms connect directly.

- Once the gray arms are connected, there are plastic feet that slide over them which should go on before attaching the console.

I hope that helps. Post if you have more questions. If I can spare even one of you the frustration I encountered, I'll feel good.

Let me just add an additional highlight to your helpful instructions. Pay attention to the heavy "C" shaped parts. They need to go between the base and the arms as noted. If you miss this you probably snaked the cable up the right side before you notice the extra parts lying there. Obviously, I had to unattach the arm and unsnake the cable before I could add the part.

So far I have burned 8000 calories and I haven't even been on the treadmill yet.

I am missing a lot of parts as well. Once i called customer care they informed me that there is no warranty on anything because i bought it from woot and they also charged me $50 for the parts it was missing and the shipping for them. beyond frustrated....

People do not buy any parts the manual is wrong ... They changed the wheel design and no middle bar. Also the caps at the bottom are one piece and need to be put on early in the process . Do not buy parts just use your head. Your not missing spacers or bolts ... Trust me .. Good luck so far my wife used I twice and has no complaints I called pro form and for my frustration they gave me the ifit card for free...

Thank you - it was very helpful.

Before we saw your post, we had called the Icon customer service number from one of the papers in the packet, and they are sending a pack of replacement parts. But while we were waiting on those to arrive, my husband read through your post and was able to assemble everything.

I just spent about 20 minutes or so on the phone with a rep going thru their online manual step by step explaining where (and how badly) it was off. She was totally unaware of this issue but said she would pass on the information up the chain.

I however did not get an ifit card (sniff) maybe because I wasn't upset enough...

Hey, Lama. How 'bout a little somethin for the effort

Here is the original sale blog with the features listed.

• Rock your workout with this Compatible Music Port for iPod and other music players, making it easy to listen to all your favorite music while you work out. The port is also equipped with a shelf that is great for storing your iPod.

The only fan mentioned is for the motor.

Hope this helps.

Serious thanks to you guys for posting those assembly tips. Icon really screwed the pooch on this one and Woot didn't help matters by forgetting to send our phone numbers to UPS Freight (despite their own blog saying it was required).

I didn't have any missing parts (in fact, I had several extra screws/washers), though.

If it wasn't for you all who did the earlier assembly, I would have been tripped up on the wheels, the lifting bar, the "C" brackets for the side posts and the covers that need to be slid on before the console is attached.

What a mess. At least it works.

My worst Woot experience ever. Fortunately, that's out of 150+ purchases.

If you go on the online chat with proform they will email you the correct manual (it's not printed yet) with the instructions on how to put it together with the parts they actually sent.

Don't call or you will be on hold for 45 minutes and talk to a Wakko that will just send you another bag of the same parts you already have

I'm further confused about the whole fan thing. The Pro Form web site shows what appears to be the treadmill we got (with the shifted lifting bar), but there's a hole in the console (in the handle where you'd pull out the bookholder) that is presumably used by the fan.

It's not a deal-breaker for me either way, but it's very confusing that they seem to have at least three different variants of the exact same model number.

I appreciate the Pro Form person posting here, but not really understanding what they can offer at this point except a mea culpa.

Plaese halp! I am in the same situation, the carrier (ODFL) has not contacted me and their website shows it has been at the local distibution center for a few days.

I would just show up at the distro center, but the box wont fit in my station wagon!

I got a call on the 21st to schedule delivery before 4:30 pm on the 23rd.
There was no delivery. On the 24th I called my local UPS freight office and the extremely nice woman told me that they couldn't find my treadmill. Apparently the loaders didn't check the whole tracking number, just the last 4 digits, and it is in never never land. She was very upset about it; more than I was.
As of today, Wednesday 2/29, I have not heard from UPS that they have found the misplaced package. And now I am starting to get upset.

Where I'm seeing what? Mention of the fan?

Here's the link:

http://www.proform.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_-1_14201_16002_29509_191519

Notice that it references the exact same model number as the Woot (PFTL06711).

The description states:

"AutoBreeze™ Workout Fan
To help you work out longer and more comfortably, this elliptical has a workout fan built right into the console."

If you look at Proform's product listing on Amazon's page, there is a picture that shows a close-up of the console with the hole for the fan:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0071N913Q/ref=dp_otherviews_z_2?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&img=2

The last picture on the Amazon link shows the treadmill with the revised lift bar and wheels (what we were delivered but not what the old manuals have):

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0071N913Q/ref=dp_otherviews_z_3?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&img=3

So, it looks to me like there are at least three versions of this:

1. The one in the manuals sent to us that don't appear to have a fan and have other differences already mentioned in previous comments.

2. The one we were delivered, where the treadmill design seems to have minor improvements/updates, but we have the old console without the fan.

3. The one advertised on their web and Amazon's that contains both the treadmill design changes and a console containing a fan.

Very frustrating.

Just go on proform chat and immediately ask for customer service. They'll transfer you to a dude-in-the-know and immediately email the right manual.

I'll be doing jackass treadmill stunts in no time

Ours came by Old Dominion Freight line. If you live up a flight of stairs you will probably die moving the box. Exercise is hard and stuff.

A big Thank you to everyone who posted comments about calling ODFL (they didn't get my number)and on how to put together the treadmill! Took me 1hr 40mins but I finally got it turned it on and..... the console has no power! Called customer service and was on hold for 1hr 30mins before I finally hung up. Got back on here and luckily saw the post about the Live Chat (Thank you for advice- I waited less than 5mins to connect with customer service!) they emailed me the correct manual instantly and said I should check the wires. If they are all intact with no pinching then I need to contact them again and they will send me new wires. Hoping I can fix it, I don't want to wait a couple weeks before I can actually use it

Just wanted to let you all know that we've been in contact with the manufacturer regarding the warranty support issues some of you have reported and it should be resolved now.

They have assured us that they will assist Woot customers without charging or major hassle, but make sure you get a case number and name if you do happen to get a rep that won't help or wants to charge you.

Email us at service@woot.com if you need further assistance.

Great.....after reading all these posts, maybe I should be sorry about buying the thing?? It's been nothing but trouble so far and it hasn't even been delivered. UPS had the wrong contact info for me and then we had to wait until I could be home. Delivery has been delayed about 10 days -- and, so far, I've been waiting 5 hours for UPS to show up.

It sounds like the trick is to contact ProForm and ask for the new instructions. You're not short parts, they just updated a couple things.

Yes also Icon Service SUCKS, I waited 45 minutes for them to answer...another 20 for a manager...then the lady came back and said that a manager would call me in an hour...umm..yeah, no one has called yet. its been an hour.

But, with the lovely support here...we found the proform chat, we found where the stuff goes based on user feedback....and I'm gonna run on my treadmill! Thank you!

I just started reading posts. We had our treadmill finallly delivered by truck on 3/8/12 and it was dominion company. They couldn't get 18 wheeler down our street so that delayed process by another few weeks as smaller truck only in CT neighborhood a few times. Late delivery. Guys got box into basement area and than i had to run to meeting. I finally opened box.Saturday (about 30+ hours later) to assemble and the unit is severly damaged and major front parts are damaged, cracked and loose pieces
Incredibly frustrating as trucking company called me back today and said " not our problem you need to deal with manufacturer. I tried to call and no luck with Icon in Utah.
I know.have a $600 unit that isn't brand new and complete which was the reason we ordered it 30 days ago. And as someone. Mentioned, my credit card company charged it on 2/14/2012.
Please I am hoping this will not be a lengthy process to get exchange for new unit and have damaged treadmill taken back. Not very optimistic

What a piece of crap. First the company sends the wrong directions, I wouldn't have known but I called because I thought it was missing some parts. They shipped me the parts anyway but then a week later after I tried assembling it with provided instructions I figured out that these were not for the correct machine. The company actually called me and told me that they were going to send out correct directions. Now that I tried assembling with incorrect directions one of the bolts is stripped and the thing doesn't seem sturdy anyway. Not too happy with this woot purchase. Gonna end up being a huge $600 paperweight.
