You know as a life long Michigan resident I have to admit it exceedingly appropriate that my state possesses amongst the highest buyer rating for this. First off outside of sports and maybe cars, weather is easily the most talked about subject. Secondly, I already own something nearly identical.

I dunno; this seems like a gift you give to people you don't really like or know. On that note, there are plenty of people I don't like or know, so maybe I will buy one after all.

And read that whichever way you like -- meaning
1) buy a whole bunch of them because you have a whole lot of friends;
or
2) buy one, that's all you will need to get one for each of your friends

This is one of those Woot items that has a serious design flaw: for the solar panel to work, you have to place it in the sun. If you do so, however, the indoor reading will be too high...from the sun shining on the thing. Fail.

If you watch carefully, the product picture changes everytime somebody purchases this item, the temperature outside drops by 1 degree. My guess is that when it hits zero the item will be sold out.

In for one, its nice knowing in AZ if your skin is going to melt off when you step outside during the summer.

Also the nearest weather station to my home is Luke Air Force Base which is about 8 miles away so the phone programs aren't always accurate....

You guys should buy one, it's great at thermometing!
