Ok. My wife doesn't mind the comment at all. Even before the NEATO I never vacuumed...but wife has never done dishes in the 22 years we've been married. We split the household work (including cleaning bathrooms and doing laundry)!!

I also bought this off woot a couple weeks ago. I have never owned a roomba so I can't compare to that, but it seems to do a pretty good job (the room looks cleaner at least). It tends to miss small threads from torn up dog toys, and it also does not get into corners or along the wall very well (about the same as a normal stand up vacuum).
Keep in mind even if it missed something once, it will probably pick it up the next time it runs. My house is mostly carpet it it does a decent job on there.

One of the biggest problems i had was a coffee table in my living room is tall enough so that the body fits under, but the top portion of Neato where the laser spins gets caught on it. It repeatedly tries to drive under the table, and will eventually quit. Idk if the dark, shiny wood is not detectable by the laser in certain light or what, because sometimes it handles it fine. Fixed the problem easily with the included magnetic strips.

Best used as maintenance, not full clean up.

Dude, you're taking it way too seriously. I was a wife for a long time. My husband actually bought me a power drill for Christmas one year. Nobody ever takes me seriously on here b/c I'm always being either facetious, sarcastic, flirty, or all three.

Bought one a few weeks ago. We had been running our Roomba 530 almost daily, but wife's long hair meant cleaning brushes after just about every run. We even had a screwdriver in the kitchen just to remove the side brush to get the hair out from under it. While we liked the amount of dirt / dust Roomba picked up, our floorboards were beginning to show Roomba wear.

Neato is much easier on the walls, floorboards and furniture, no constant banging into stuff. It reliably cleans every room every time and picks up a good bit more dirt than Roomba. Best part is that the hair ends up in the bin, not wrapped around the brush, so there is very little maintenance.

If you have pets or long human hair, this is a huge improvement over the Roomba.

I bought one of these last time it was on sale on Woot. I LOVE IT!!!
I have two of the iRobot Roomba's. They work OK, but take a long time to clean since they wander around randomly. The Neato can clean my living room, dining room and hallway faster than the Roomba because it scans the area and then cleans it.
