I wonder if it would help move things along if Woot reserved some Barrels of Crud to be awarded to random purchasers of the more expensive wootkillers. Announce the awards on the site in real time. To what extent are we rats undergoing some kind of random reinforcement experiment?

Sure you can -- once. And then switch to one of your two spares. Because surely you're in for three.

The best way would be to allow the person who purchases the last item before the Barrels of Crud to get a Barrels of Crud Everyone would race to get the last item!

I think they should only show the Blinged-Out Cadillacs to the >100 Woots people. If they did that, people would be buying stuff like crazy during this woot-off LOL.

He was joking, and just trying to move Woot on to the next item. . Should work fine under Linux (with just one!). I am buying for Linux, too. Have a laptop that only goes up to 802.11g, and from time to time I need to to larger transfers to and from it. Plus, sometimes it's nice at a client's or friend's to quickly get a new desktop or workstation setup in a place not yet wired, and this should be useful for that, too

Email me' at dm@idoug.org if you need help getting it working under Linux.
