I bought two sets of these refurbished on woot over a year and a half ago. Really love them. Nice large screen, great contrast for night vision and a zoom feature to zoom in and pan around the viewing area. Color is vibrant in daytime.
I bought these to replace my Summer handheld baby monitors, I like these much better. The power blue lights on them are a little bright at night so i just put a tiny sticker on them and it subdues the effect.
The only thing that sucks is when viewing in quad mode ( up to 4 monitors at once) you cannot choose which room you want volume in, it is just silent. So we have 2 sets with a monitor and display each and have both fired up each night so we have sounds and vision on both kids. Also if you travel with them it is hard to position it to the angle you want, easy fix though we bought one of those tripod screw top bendy arm things and we can make it work anywhere now, it has the standard screw hole on the back for it's wall mounted use.

both the monitor and display screen can charge and run on their batteries for quite a while, great for bringing down stairs if the baby falls asleep in an unusual spot and you want to be elsewhere in the house. Most eye-ball baby monitor MUST have the cord at all times.

Nice analogy. I think I'd alter it a bit: it's like going to a movie only because you hope the hot lead actor/actress will have a brief nude scene, yelling at the screen for them to get naked the whole time, and if you blink during it you get pissed and throw your popcorn on everyone.

I don't think I want to live in any state on the map that's green after this sale is over.
