You don't have central air? Do you have window units? You almost have to have central air here.

Very few have central air. Almost all the houses were built in the 50's here. Closer to the city would be even older. Some of the buildings in Manhattan and brooklyn were built before indoor bathrooms.

Not unheard of. Just not the norm.

People are putting in ductless AC. That has units in every room and wires running all around the outside of the house. So unless you get someone who is really good at installing it, it looks bad. Plus if the indoor units are what I think they are, they are bigger than the window or wall units

That makes sense. The house I lived in before had central air that was put in after the house was built. It was crap and I supplemented with Window units. I know now that I will never live in another house without good central a/c & heat. At least not in my part of the country

Any total rehab or new construction has central air.

Heck, nobody moved down south before central air!

It was dreary all day here.

I already wrote this once but evidently it didn't post, so I apologize if it shows up twice.

Forgot to tell you I was going to card club tonight.

A friend of mind had a house with hot water heat or steam heat, something like that, with no ductwork. They put in a huge ac unit in the attic and have had no problems with it. She loves it.

Thanks for the greeting Rain!

Thought my internet was dead but it isn't.

No monkey yet, so all is good!

Last night I blew up some icon on the bar on the bottom of the damn computer. I don't know how, it the mouse hits it it moves and there was a pop and explosion. Then no internet this morning. Thought I killed it somehow.
No.

But cold.

Wasn't at the computer either time the crap came up.

I am crap free.

But two loads of laundry are done and the animals are flea and tick free for another month.

Except I misread the calendar and rusty now got his flea and tick a week early.

I've been getting a kick out of Pearls Before Swine with having characters from other strips the last couple of weeks, but really laughed today when Stephen showed up on Frazz.
