We changed our support process here too. It sucks now.

I'm not eligible for a raise in the gov'ment until July. However, the way things work around here, if I don't tell them now, it may not happen around that time.

dontwantaname wrote:How do you change companies? Isn't it the IRS?

The IRS has separate "Businesses". I would stay under the same business (IT), but I would change the project that I'm working for. I think enough managers around here know me pretty well that I could probably find something fairly easily. However, I'd prefer to stay where I'm at and just make the higher salary.

Going to finish the deck?

Does it have any awning?

Do you get mosquitos from the pond? I would think a nice screened in part would be nice.
Put a tree in your yard!

You haven't looked at FB, have you?

About 1/4 of it is covered from the existing patio. Another 1/4 of it is covered by a pergola that we bought at Sears and the rest is uncovered.

There are a crap load of mosquitoes, but that's because it's Texas, not just because of the pond.

We have trees!

Good afternoon Rain and everyone else. Another gorgeous day in Paradise. Might just have to go find a Pina Colada with a tiny umbrella (to please AZG) when I go out for dinner tonight!

Have a wonderful day.

I still have a link to every plumbing pipe and vent in that house! Then when it was done, you stopped.
Go stand by the shed and take a picture of the back of the house!

How long have you been married now?
We were married 5 years before we tried to have a kid, so I want to know how much longer you have before I have to nag you for my virtual internet grandkid!

Son has a group ticket at work.
We don't have one yet.

I hope it is a big group that wins, because that is just too much money for one person.
Although the lump sum is less than half and that is before taxes.

Last year a group from a costco on LI won a nice size lotto. They ended up with a couple of million each, which is very nice.

Two? Ok, you have a 3 more years before that nag starts.

I wanted to be done with kids by 35, because of the test they did if you were over 35. It was a huge needle stuck into the belly checking for birth defects.

Oh crap, I just remembered, I ate my lunch for today, yesterday.

Doh!

Maybe I should make a peanut butter sandwich.

//sigh, Rusty wants me to open the door....again.
If it wasn't for the cat, we could put a pet door in the screen door for him. Then again, his play date friends would come into the house then.

You better find out how many winning tickets there are before you promise that!

hummm, maybe we can do an all expense trip to some resort in the Caribbean for all the woot people!
That way kids can go and if we don't get along, there is stuff to do.

Beaches Nigril was nice.

That should only cost a few thousand a person.

OK, If I get a ticket, and win, and it is an unreasonable amount of millions, I'll do that!

They make pet doors that have a sensor in them. A chip goes in the pet's collar, and the door only opens when the chip is close to the door.

Smart Pet Door

The cat would need to be right behind him, unless Rusty steps out and then sits right by the door. A friend had one, and it really worked to keep a neighbors dog out.

Forget the lump sum, the annuity payment would be more than $19 million a year. If you need more than that at once there should probably be a government investigation of what nefarious supervillain plot you're working on.
