Well, he's a cat. Puck ignored the bath mat for at least 6 months. He also decided that a chair in the bedroom was awesome--but only after it moved about 5 feet. And both cats are convinced that the bed in the spare room is far better than any other place in the house, and think I am totally mean because the door to the spare room is kept shut.

Ugh, cube neighbor is SO loud today. Her husband is in France right now, and she's lecturing him about what he shouldn't do. It's honestly embarrassing to hear.

Should have been a quick, easy trip to the mall to buy a mall gift card. On the way there, two lanes of traffic stopped for no apparent reason. Finally see a mama duck and at least 12 ducklings crossing the street. Get to the office to buy the card, closed until 1:15. It was 12. Had my Kindle with me, so had lunch and read awhile. Surprised me, they wouldn't take cash, only a credit or debit card for the gift card. And annoyed me, 2.95 for the card. On the way home, traffic stopped and everyone's turning around. A rotted tree had broke off and was laying on the electric lines, bringing them very close to the road. Actually saw one tadpole go under them, had about four inches to spare. An adventurous trip.

I lurk...i work...sleep...work...sleep...study... you know the drill.

Orc took the Versions to the grocery store so I can have some quiet. I'm just about dead on my feet. Call went well, lunch went through on time although I couldn't get the clean up done in time to take the leftovers back to the kitchen so I had to drive there and back (waste of gas, if they'd wait a little longer, or I could clean faster then I could have done it on my way home). Took Ver1 to her in park rehearsal for this weekend's dance performance, Even wore a big floppy hat, because the big guy upstairs cranked the heat to over 80 which is absolutely nuts for April.

Debating between a cold shower, and work.... work might win.

What kind of pillows did you get? I keep buying pillows, but I never like them after a day or two and go back to my old one, so Orc gets new pillows and the guest pillows get better (they were really bad), but mine needs to be replaced soon. I grew up with hand made feather pillows, if that gives you any explanation as to why I'm choosy. I am using a store bought feather pillow now, it's not great, but it works alright. Unfortunately, I don't remember anything about it and it's old enough you can't tell from the fabric or tag.

Darn, thanks anyway. I've finally gotten to the point where I can sleep in a traditional bed easily, I'm sure in another decade or so I will be less picky about pillows (grew up with a waterbed). I also can't stand if my pillowcase is wrinkled, period. Yet, if I'm camping I can sleep on rocks and use my flannel stuffed into my sleeping bag bag as a pillow.... makes no sense.
