Android is open source, which means anyone can look at the code and build for it. Windows and mac-n-cheese-n-cheese OS are restrictive, there are some things that they don't share.

In terms of the devices--I guess it depends. I have an android phone, and have been uber-happy with it. I have Windows 7 on my laptop, and it's good too. The Kindle Fire is Android, but not compatible with quite as much stuff--meaning there are some apps that I'd like but aren't available...yet. Always changing, and more and more developers are building for all platforms(OS).

Dname - did you see the dog on the runway at LaGuardia on the news? Seems to me that it was also that NY airport where the showdog went missing from the cargo hold a couple of years ago? Does Rusty realize this? There are doggie airports that bring traffic to a standstill. BTW, I don't think they ever found that poor show dog. Hope someone found it and gave it a good home. Could have been JFK, but I somehow think it was LGA.

If I recall correctly, the reward for that dog was huge. You would certainly think someone would have turned it in. However, if perchance someone gave it a good, loving home, I think that is a better life for the animal probably than the show circuit and all that goes with it.

My grandmother raised poodles, and I know from first-hand experience (at least did know and imagine nothing too much has changed) that the top show dogs often live with the handler and most in a kennel environment. They are not really treated, for the most part, like cherished house pets. It is a fairly grim existence - practicing the poses, constant grooming, traveling in cargo holds, being caged during a benched show, etc. I really feel sorry for them.
