Turken wrote:Hrmmm. this could be interesting. Somewhat on a whim, I threw my resume in the ring last week for a job opening with a company just down the street from home, and they want a phone interview! Could be a good career move, but leaves a LOT of questions. I've never just up and changed jobs before, and don't want to leave the folks here in the lurch if I do get an offer with this other prospect. Suppose I should just take this one step at a time and see how the interview goes first?
A good idea; but any career decisions should be based on what's best for you and yours - not the company you may leave.
Besides, they're always welcome to counter-offer to keep you!!

So jumping ship without finishing (even though writing this thing is a royal PIA) would leave my boss hanging in a way that I'd feel really really bad about, particularly since he was the one that got me this job (and my grad school thesis topic) to begin with.
Do what ya gotta do; we can't decide for you.

Not that I watched much of their content to begin with, but if that's how they want to play, I'll gladly spend ALL my entertainment time (and money) elsewhere!
I use hulu so that I don't have to pay for cable. Why would I pay for hulu and cable? This makes no sense, are you sure about that? Hulu is owned by ota broadcast channels.
Still single, can't imagine why.
