Bought a different shower head for $45. It was the cheapest one I could find and similar to this one. In 4 months, it broke and then this appeared. Bought it and LOVE IT!! Fantastic and much better than the $40+ shower heads that you find in the stores. So glad that I picked it up. Looks great, good water pressure, and changing the settings is smooth and easy unlike many shower heads on the market.

Bought one last time and love it. I was concerned that the hose would not be very flexible, but it is very flexible. It has an extra suction cup holder for shorter people who can't reach to the height of the shower head. I highly recommend it.

IN for 1-- a stainless steel hose cost me $19 at Lowes for the last 1 I got that came with a plastic hose but had a good head.

Can this be attached to a bath tub faucet?

it's plastic!!! it's nice that the hose is stainless steel, but I wish the shower head wasn't plastic!!! The suction cup is garbage, but the sticky thing works well. Oh, and that part is also plastic. You have to use with care, otherwise you'll break it.

I want one! I need a new shower head, but I have EXTREMELY hard, hard water. Like 28 grains hard water. My shower head now is soaking in vinegar. I don't believe even this shower head will stand up to my lime. I will have to ask the decision maker and hopefully he will buy it.

My current shower head is getting cruddy. I have tried soaking it in vinegar to remove water deposits, but it still shoots in random directions. I'm in for 1! I love not breaking my back when I rinse the kids off after a bath and it is perfect for my daughter who is learning to take a shower by herself.

I just bought one, as my current showerhead is falling victim to the hard water in my area. Yay, perfect timing!

I bought this the last round and it is great quality! So easy to install and some of the clearest directions I've ever read. It even came with plumber's tape and instructions how to stop a drip. The settings work very well. My box still had the $50 Kohl's price tag on it. Very good deal at $20 (inc the shipping).

I just moved out of a very hard water area, and I've used similar items.

It usually isn't much of a problem provided you stay on top of it. Hand held models like this are actually much easier to deal with than wall mounts. Soaking in vinegar (the white kind: buy the cheap stuff sold by the gallon in plastic containers) will handle light buildup. For heavier problems CLR (or something similar) will remove the lime deposits. It is a pain, but short of getting a water softener (with attendent problems) it is the only way to keep shower heads flowing.

BTW: Still waiting to hear reviews from folks who have one about how well it gets the soap out of your hair.

Bought this to replace my apartment shower head that had no pressure. Thought there was no hope for me. I was wrong. This shower head is an exceptional value for the price. No leaks. Didn't need to use the included teflon tape as the washers were enough to seal the unit. Water pressure is outstanding compared to old shower head. Highly recommend anyone needing a better shower to give this a go.

Awesome, was just thinking I was due for a new shower head. I like the rain option. I'm in for one.

There is one setting that will almost rip the hair out of your head so I'm sure soap will be removed no problem.

Bought this last time around, buying it again for my parents' house. The flow regulator in this unit is just a tiny plastic cup with three holes in it. Popping it out was trivial.

In my WWII-era home, this makes for *amazing* water pressure.

For my parents' home with lower water pressure, it should be the first truly usable shower head they've had in ages.

I bought one on the last sale. Very easy to install. I did remove the water saver as our pressure here is not great. The hose is very flexable. The lever for the various streams is a little hard to move but not impossible. So far, I'm very pleased with it. It replaced a really old Water Pix.

Picking one up for my upstairs bath. Trying to transition my kid from bath to shower and I think this would be perfect for that since I can mount it lower. Kids' shower products I've seen try very hard at looking cute and succeed mostly at "cheap plastic looking."

mellielou wrote:It says you can remove the water restrictor if you have low water pressure. In my experience it is a blue or white insert that looks like a tiny strainer at the base of the handle.

Aah yes...the infamous flow restrictor. We can thank our "genius" government leaders for that. "Save water, save water!" They must not take showers, cuz it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that restricting the flow doesn't save water, it just takes us longer to rinse because the same amount of water is needed.

I love my current shower head, I think it was a < $45 waterpik to be honest. The other morning I noticed the "metal" around the hose detaching and I think it could be on the way out. I'm going to try this and maybe circumvent an actual break of the other. The other is 3 years old, not sure what the life expectancy on these things are when you don't pay more than $45 for them.

I bought one recently that turned out to be unusable because my water pressure sucks.

As it comes it's performance is pretty poor - BUT that's because it comes with a 'flow limiter" installed ... if you remove the flow limiter (a little black plug in the handdle - where the hose attaches) it will perform as well as any other none presurized showerhead.

On sale from 49.99 to 34.99 plus shipping at Kohl's right now. This seems like a pretty good deal if you need a shower head. I want it but I have to wait to find a slide bar shower head for my new house because my boyfriend is 6'4". lol.

I have a question for those who have this. How is the water pressure? I have bought 4 new shower heads in last yr and water pressure is horrible on all of them.

joeradose

quality posts: 0 Private Messages joeradose

In for one.

@bpchrist13: I had the same question, which no one seems to have answered, so I'll put my 2 cents in...

From the picture, it appears that you can screw the hose into either the tub faucet or, if you use the connector, the wall based pipe. Since this is a separate piece, I'm assuming that it can be used in either type of application. MY GUESSES ONLY and hopefully someone will confirm?

Bought 2 of these last time around, they are excellent. Good quality and good build. They also include a suction cup and adhesive mount if you want to be able to mount the shower head lower in reach of vertically challenged users (like leprechauns!)
