Ah!

The kicker was that it wasn't a play button, but an up/down button (otherwise, the orientation of the arrow would be wrong compared to the other button in the picture.) and a monochrome LCD, meaning it was a display on a larger device. From there, I used my extensive knowledge of repeated woots to make a couple google searches.

Ok, so discuss. Like or not like this game.

It was more work for me. Problem was that all the products for tonight would have been easily guessed so I was trying to figure out a way to slow y'all down. Didn't work.

I didn't like that there was so little posting. I like the community interaction.

I like that it was not as easy to guess, therefore longer game time.

Thanks for the pics we didn't use. I was thinking the first image was an up/down button if it wasn't a play button. I thought the 3rd item was a cleaning tank solution.

Not really longer because it was over by 11:15...

Would have been over by 11:05 otherwise though. LOL

That was son's idea too. There were a couple others but that's the main ones

I mostly like... I miss asking questions, but the major one's were clarified (like the picture angle and zoom)...

if you do the picture idea again, I think you should again skip the questions...

It's still new enough that I think that big changes are a must and it keeps us interested...

I feel for you doing more work:/

Another note: any format of the game will be easier for some folk and more difficulty for others. So I think that you should change it up every once in a while just because... and because it keeps us on our toes.

I like having a picture clue and it was nice having the pace a little slower to ponder a bit. However, it was a bit too slow without any input that some guesses had narrowed down the type of product, say appliance vs electronic media.

Perhaps a mix of picture and word clues, not just 1 or the other?

Personally I'm a fan of the 20Q and the idiocy, I mean creativity that ensues. This was also fun and creative, but relied heavily on your prep too.

In 20Q, I like the idea of one question per post, cant ask another until yours is answered (self policing, obviously), and no bracketing (eg: between a-m, $20-$50, on woot in last month)

This is only the second time I've played, so I cannot say anything about games prior to last night's.

FWIW, I preferred tonight's game.

The third picture threw me for a major loop. I'd gotten that it was a device like a camera or tablet or whatever and that the first pic was not a play button.

Fun either way IMHO.

Not sure I'd do an all image game. I miss the interaction. Might meld the two some how.....

Agreed. Didn't get the same "rush", but a change-up is nice sometimes. Or maybe a combination of pictures and clues?

I didn't like it, but I came in late and missed it. That's the only reason why

Agreed on the strategy side, but that in turn quickly narrows the options...meaning the guessing gets tightly focused very quickly.

Maybe that's the clue to slow it down is not answering those bracketing questions, as you call them.

That's a good idea. I think I will go to one post per question and ask people to not post multiple questions in a row. It'll be hard for me to police because I don't really read the names on posts since I'm moving pretty fast.

I've pondered that but my goal is to build the community on Woot so that would defeat that. I think answering within the posts like I did last night helped a lot.

could the above, be achieved w/pics?

I think it might have been better to start with the most abstract clues ie. Luigi and Oprah today that way people are more confused and then bring out the easier ones when we are pulling our hair out (figuratively)
