(not surprising seeing how amazon owns it)

Groupon and Livingsocial and other internet merchandise sites are far superior as they actually value their hard-working consumer.

Perhaps it would be helpful if you'd describe your experience, because as it stands, your post just makes you look like a loony.

Not the greatest quality nor best bass and clarity but for 75 shipped you are NOT going to find a better pair for the xbox360

Also with the appropriate adapters you can use this with the ps3 but the mic won't work. Ive never tried with a pc but im assuming since microsoft makes xbox you definitely can get sound, mic im not sure, but with the appropriate drivers im sure its possible.

Seems like it would be a pain to switch sources. Too many things to unplug/swap.

I would really love to know what POSSIBLE way Direct X 11 has ANYTHING to do with this headset. 1st problem, it's a headset. Direct X 11 is a programming SDK for game development of graphics. 2nd problem, the Xbox360 is still stuck in the stone ages of Direct X 9. So even is a headset did in any way shape or form have anything to do with DX11, which it doesn't, it wouldn't work with a console... sigh, *face palm.

You owe us a PS3 capable headset, woot!

From the comments, it seems like it just takes an optical cable input. I have a different model of TB headphones (the $250 wireless ones) and they work with computer/tv/ps3/xbox360 just fine. Anything with optical out will work with these.

Could someone explain to me how these headphones can deliver "surround sound" when, near as I can tell, they only have two drivers (left and right).

It's a simulated surround sound. Frankly the discreet driver headphones usually work and sound much better, but typically they cost quite a bit more. With this you can really use any stereo headset you wish, and the amplifier/decoder box will do the rest for you.

My 5.1 Tritton AXPros blow these out of the water. But,if you're looking for pseudo surround on the cheap, this is a decent price.

Currently I'm waiting on the Tiamat 7.1's to come back in stock on Razer to replace my Tritton AXPros (Which have since started to fall apart after about a year of use.

Okay husbands birthday is in 2weeks and this is just in time!! Not to mention I work nights sometimes and its impossible to sleep with mw3 on so this is a gift for both of us!!
Although im concerned about the wires and our dogs and things getting yanked or the cord not reaching it just seems like so many cords for a headset. How long is the part that plugs into the xbox to the little box thing?? our xbox is across the living room from where we sit on the couch i'm not sure it'll reach.

Turtle Beach makes quality equipment. I'd pick them over Creative labs in an instant. But i prefer my Sennheisers.Specifically the PC333Ds.

I'm sticking with the Razer Barracuda AC-1 Soundcard and HP-1 headphones I got on Woot many years ago. 5.1 via multiple drivers in each earpiece.
Microphone sucks but comfort and sound quality rock.
I ditched the proprietary connection for the analog connection so I could tap the .1 (bass) connection for the subwoofer I installed in my recliner.
Razer was still supplying driver updates 4 years after I bought them.

You can still plug your Sennheisers into this... The 3D 7.1 surround bit is "virtual" while the headset itself is only stereo.

You must be running Windows Se7en. Razer hasn't updated the XP drivers in forever.

This comes with the $70 7.1 DSS sound processor. hence the D in the actual model number DX11. This setup is still over $100 used/refurbished anywhere you look.
