But you can still plug a cord into the aux in to play it. I wonder if there is or will be any firmware fix for your unit...or any others with the same problem. Doesn't Apple concern itself with the hardware makers out there?

I bought a very similar unit last June from Woot and I love it. Highly recommended. That plus and old ipod I have makes the best alarm clock ever!
