I purchased these in a couple of woot-offs back. Once again the creepy faces torment us. But any way I payed double for these then. The headphones themselves put out great sound for this price. The microphone however is too sensitive. I literally have the sensitivity to 1 and its still puts out an electronic "HUMMMMM" after I speak. The headphones have decent base, and the noise canceling is kind of a gimmick. But using the noise canceling makes the headphones louder and enhances the audio drastically. Over all a good buy, but I really wish it didnt have the color scheme that it does, its well, too different, even hipsters might not apply.

If you ever sell the female mannequin head, count me in for 3. So much fun can be had with them at the office, at Halloween, at the movies... the possibilities are endless!

Why is Woot pushing their gender views on me as a potential customer? As a man, maybe I wanted to the pink headset! Unfortunately, the *clearly* very chatty female mannequin says, "No, this color is for girls. Take your colorless noggin over to the male /unisex color options. Loser." Joke is on her though. That lipstick makes her look like a whore.

I hate that mannequin. I think the first time I saw it was on that baby monitor video scream... and it comes back to haunt me again...

I've owned these for about 6 months and 38 flights. They work very well on aircraft to tone down the low frequency engine noise, especially on CRJ commuter jets(aka Canadian Torture Tubes).

I traded NC headphones with another guy that had the mega-expensive Bose, and he agreed there wasn't much difference, especially given the price.

(edit: mine didn't come with the microphone, but are otherwise the same)

These are great. They run on very little energy so I can feel green using them. And they seem to work even when the weather is so-so, although I have not yet tried them in Panama. The sound is somewhat sarcastic, but without the insouciance of say, the original Walkman. I like being able to do my aerobics with these. The only issue I have is that they don't seem to work well in the kitchen, especially with sous vide but overall, I'm happy and would rather give up my rotisserie chair than this.

More to the point, why is the female mannequin head the only one that's TALKING? Talk about a gender stereotype.

I might be interested in these...can a previous wooter tell me, would the noise cancellation on these guys be adequate enough to mostly block out the background noise on a plane? For $20 bucks I'm not expecting complete silence, but they might work if they are 'good-enough'.
