how do you post the cute pictures on here when you make a comment?

I just bought this from another site and received it last week. Installed in my daughter's car.

It is a very nice unit! I think I paid a bit less, but it is worth the price here.

I am the proud owner of this tom tom. I have to say though keeping it up to date is a pain, but if you have a phone with data capabilities you can actually get traffic information without the tomtom branded antenna.

I have this unit. It does NOT have FM transmitter or micro SD slot. It has a full size SD slot. Great unit though.

There are far better units out there, It's ironic that the image of the unit features it "searching for a signal" because if you buy this unit, you'll find that it's doing that far too often..Do yourself a favor and buy a smart phone + mount instead.

While the unit is nice and there are some slick possibilities here, I owned one like this. TomToms are great but they do not keep their maps updated and when they do, it cost more to get the fresh maps then to just use your telephone. So, while worthy, my opinion is to step off and wait for a cheap smartphone.

Cool, just what I needed. Too bad no one thought of making an app for my cell phone so I wouldn't need to carry another piece of electronic gear around.

I found my father-in-law's TomTom MUCH harder to program than our Garmin Nuvi. Ours was much more user-friendly and intuitive, IMHO.

sure is an interesting time on that gps unit there.

I think it's not a good idea to use a photo of a GPS that can't find a signal to sell the item.

A reason to get a GPS vs. just using your smart phone is that not all places have a cell signal, but you should be able to get a GPS signal..

So it's a crappy product for stoners :D

In actuality, I did watch the How Woot Works, and I know the pictures are taken in a secret underground cavern, so that explains the signal, but the time...

I think most of the "just use your smart phone!" people rarely leave the city they live in. They've certainly not traveled across most of the western states, where cell phone signals are pretty rare.

And, even when you do have a signal, you are probably going to lose your data connection when you get a call.
