If you spent as much time watching TV as I did during the 1980s, we should start a support group together or something. On my deathbed, I'll be bitterly regretting the many, many hours I spent in the company of Arnold Jackson and Judge Harry T. Stone. Here are eight images from the opening theme sequence of '80s TV shows. Name them all, if the post-traumatic stress disorder doesn't get you first.

Answers are here. Please post your guesses, speculations, or arguments below! But know this: the Trivial Eye is presented for public amusement and no prizes are offered other than that familiar feeling of aggravation that so much of your mind is occupied by useless trivia.

Hey, science types: I'd like to do some science-oriented Trivial Eye quizzes. But I've always been more verbal than clinical. I'd appreciate any suggestions for scientifically trivial subjects that can be shown in pictures - please post them below. Thanks!

It's one thing to feel bad about myself for not knowing stuff. But how is it that Trivial Eye can ALSO give me the self-loathies when I almost ACE it? (I missed #7, guessing "Mr. Belvedere.")

Thanks a lot for showing me how much gross gunk has collected in the drain trap of my brain, T.E.! See you next week when I find out I can't name very many heads of state!

I think #1 is Miami Vice, and #5 is Dallas, but otherwise I agree with u on the rest of them, even #6 cuz I have no idea either, lol!
And I'm sorry the author was not a big fan of the'80's but I sure was! That may have been b-cuz I didn't watch half of what the author did, so not as much junk to store, lol.
Great trip down memory lane!

That is correct. It scares me it only took about 3 seconds looking at each picture to figure out which show it was.

! haha! I also thought 6 was WKRP but was thinking that was the '70s. As soon as I read Pee-Wees Playhouse, I saw the ants.

I watched very little TV in the 80s. I was working every night. Still, I managed to get 1,3,4 & 5, despite the fact that the only one I ever saw was Cheers. Had this been about the 70s I would have done much better, I think.

I never watched any of those. I spent most of the 80's drunk. It was fun!

When my wife saw that one, she said something like "What show was Greg Kinnear on in the '80s?"

Now the Cheers theme is firmly planted in my brain and will play there all day in a continuous rant that will cause my brains to leak out of my ears. You wanna be where you can see, the troubles are all the same. You wanna go where everybody knows your name... thanks a lot
