Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Nope, I went to Football State. And the engineering college, at that, which had its own competitions.

The first school I went to was a football school. The second school I went to was a football and basketball school...maybe moreso basketball...they made it to that big circle of games this year but lost in the first round which, apparently, was very disappointing to the whole city. The Last school I went to...I think they have a basketball team...

My undergrad school only had 400 students. Soccer was a big deal.
Love those little private schools.
Big scholarships.

Grad school was much bigger and sports-oriented.

Or schools. My undergraduate school was big in lacrosse and my first graduate school had neither football nor basketball teams but was preeminent in inter-collegiate sailing.

Another missed option: Yes, basketball is huge, but the team is in such disarray that we didn't make it into any tournament.

Oddly enough, the little liberal arts school was my engineering school and is ranked one of the best engineering schools in the state. We still have one of the highest FE pass rates and very very rarely do the students not receive at least 2 job offers before they graduate. I had 3 job offers 6 months before I received my degree.

On the other hand, sports didn't exactly exist at our school. We had soccer and basketball I think. And I think they got a baseball team here a couple of years ago.

Pretty odd that I can say at Ohio University sports weren't a big deal, yet we are still in the tourny right now.

My 49ers were terrible this year in basketball and missed the field yet again, but we finished second in the College Cup (soccer) this year. So that's cool.

Option: "Not unless we, by some fluke, made it into the tournament."

I think that my alma mater made a bigger deal out of the women's team because they keep making it into the tournament. Then again, this from the same athletic department that fabricated a rivalry with another football team in the conference they are preparing to leave on their way into 1-A.

Gotta love generic southern conservative universities...

My alma mater was technically in the tournament this year, for the first year in 12, but they lost in the First Four, so it doesn't feel like it. Basketball was a big deal, dating back to some glory years in the 1980s, but they haven't been relevant in ages. I voted for the first choice, but the second choice was true as well.
