Am I the only one with the sinking feeling that WAY too many people seem to have gotten one? I'm expecting somehow a lot of extra orders got through, and orders will be cancelled.

The total Woots is stalled at 13252. If they actually ship that many, I think we will be getting a plastic grocery bag with three more inside them. Or maybe just four bags of Texas air.

Weird... I've never had that problem. Mine always pulls money from my bank account. I think my Paypal is tied to a debit card. Or, maybe it is eChecking. Maybe both. In any case, I've never had a problem Wooting with Paypal.

No, and it has happened before if I remember correctly. Just because you received an e-mail confirmation and have it in your account, that doesn't mean anything. Woot has the ability to accept or reject orders based on inventory.

Apparently they only accept Paypal if you have cash in your Paypal account, or have it backed up by a credit card. However, although my Paypal account IS backed up by a valid credit card, I still got denied. I don't understand what their deal is...

Has anyone who got a "your order is NOT in" message since gotten an order confirmation? I got several, but also had two attempts hang for several minutes and then I accidentally closed the tabs so I don't know what message I'd have gotten on those. In any case, I'm not holding my breath. I've lived without a crap sack for three years, I'll live another day.

I've bought several things off Woot with my standard Paypal account. You can't tell me that things are different because I'm buying a ba g of c rap. Come'on their system sucks, that's all there's to it.

I'm going to watch and see if my bag disappears. It will be nice to have my first, but the more I think about it, the gnashing of teeth may say as much about us as it does woot.

It has happened before.

Count me in with the disgruntled who hopped on this the second it went up, got 100 order denied errors, and ultimately had it stick on processing for 10 minutes or so before a final "Your order is NOT IN" message. I tried it with a credit card and a paypal account, with similar results in both.

What makes me angry is that the item description basically says "Hey this is really sold out," so if Woot is messing with people/joking about denying these orders, why are some going through? Furthermore, if I worked for Paypal, Visa, or Mastercard, I'd be really mad right now. Doing stuff like this costs them money when they field the angry "Why did you deny my credit card" calls.

I can possibly forgive them if this was an actual error, but if this was on purpose, I'm gone. This is just irresponsible and too far.

There are thousands of more orders than normal. I mean, just look at the original number (14890). That is a lot of orders for one product at one specific point in time.

The description did say that they "only have enough for about 10% of the people who want one."

If they meant to sell 1400, and 14000 orders went through, that's 10%. Maybe this was all part of the plan.

I made it through pretty quickly and hung on the processing screen for a few so I opened up another window while letting that one go. When I got to the checkout it said my paypal account had already been used on this sale. I haven't seen an email confirmation yet but I'm hoping for the best. I checked my order history and it doesn't show there but for some strange reason nothing is showing there right now so I'm not sure what to think.

Something must have worked....confirmation email (shut the front door!) and then I see it as pending on my cc...thank you woot! Delightful surprise!

Not sure which (of many attempts) went through, I was just stunned to see the confirmation email about four minutes after the item changed to something else.

I had the page sit for almost 10 minutes telling me that it processed the order but then it was denied as well.....been trying to get it for my hubby for 5 years now.....and he has been trying for 7. at some point out luck has to change right??????

All of my repeated attempts got denied. Tears... Is this going to continue until Sunday so they can continue to screw with us until then? I think they are saying, "Here my little monkey, dance for me... Here is your chance to get a banana, and I am going to dangle it here, let you get to the Order Processing page (several times), and then DENY THEM ALL!!!!! BWAHAHAHA!" You know they are sitting back laughing at ALL of us.

Those of you who have never gotten a bag before and are lusting after one, after having heard the stories and seen the videos...don't. Seriously. You will never be that person. Years ago, back in the first bags, I nearly got one and then said "Why would I want to pay real money for random junk?" and turned away. Years later I tried and got one. It had a Mr. T. LP and a camera holder. Then couldn't get one for years. I got one last christmas. It had a bag with a flower on it and a couple of t-shirts that wouldn't fit me.

I know I'm not alone here. It really isn't worth the stress. Many of us are old addicts. You don't have to be. Woot used to be a very different place. We used to buy things to move the woot-off along to help each other, and congradulate each other for getting bags.

only 1300 so they canceled over 13000 orders?
