I agree. It didn't take much on my shoulders for me to feel it, but I need a higher setting on my waist.

It has a timer. Once the timer ends, you have to turn the knobs off and then turn them back on again. You will also have to select location and massage/beat/knead again.

Had a PT session today and showed it to him (the massager that is). He looked it over, put it on my hip, and showed me what setting to use, and recommended that I use it twice a day. "$20 well spent" he said. I have to agree.

Although I had reservations about electronic gadgetry and their real potential to solve anything, I have been using this thing and it's really helped my lower back.

I thought I would need to go to a Chiropractor for what felt like sciatic nerve pain and this solved it in just a few sessions.

A friend of mine recommended using this in combination with an ice pack and I'll give that a try next time around.

So far so good....my wife has been using it daily since it arrived at a setting around 2.5.

The 1st set of pads stopped sticking well after a week of use. (Note: She did not take any real precautions to clean her skin or immediately put them back on the plastic)

A quick wash of the pads with some soap and water made them sticky again....we'll see how long they last.

Researching a supply of pads of different of different sizes from a variety of links supplied here.

My wife loves it...I may have to buy another unit if it comes up for sale again in the next Wootoff!

I'm pretty pleased with it. It'll definitely make your muscles flex and get the kinks out. (or make them sore, if you're trying to work them)

Huh? You quoted my post but did you even take the time to actually read it before making a self-contradictory reply? Sure doesn't seem like it.

On a separate note, this device appears to be an excellent unit. I can't tell any intensity difference from what I've experienced from professional PT units for lower back treatments (which is all I can comment on). I like the varying pulse, knead, etc.. programming that the professional PT units (at least the ones I've experienced) didn't have. One constant non-varying setting can feel irritating IMO.
