Thank you for clarification and i looked at the specs again. It's changed to Window 7 Pro.

Dell Latitude 6420 (this one) has vPro. It's the 5420 that doesn't.

I just picked up one of these. What memory should I buy to upgrade this to 8gb? Any suggestions?

Dell typically does 2x2gb on these. the SSD is a Samsung device of high quality and supporting TRIM.

The Latitude E6420 is a robust unit and the add of a 256GB SSD can add $400 to the price so this is quite a deal.

We pay much more for these @ our company with corporate deal, don't know how they did this!?!?!

Dell says that, but Dell is incorrect. Numerous people on the E6420 owner's thread on notebookreviews have installed 2x8GB with no problem.

Ah, got mine and its been plugged in but the battery is not a chargin'!?!?!

This was the fastest delivery woot ever. Mine just arrived in So Cal, but I'm disappointed that it came with a back-light keyboard. Disappointed because I already ordered one on eBay. Otherwise, I'm very happy.

Just got this today and I think Woot sent me the wrong computer. There's no webcam and it doesn't have the backlit keyboard that everyone else is mentioning.

What should I do? The webcam was a key selling feature to me and I'm pretty upset.

I've also just noticed that mine has 3 gb of RAM instead of 4 gb. I'm starting to get very upset now!

To check the amount of memory, click on the start menu, then right click on my computer and click on properties. It should bring you to a window that displays your processor type, memory amount, and other info.

Got mine in. The screen isn't as good as the IPS screen on my X220 but the resolution is really nice. The keyboard is quite a bit quieter too. The speakers sound a lot more fuller as well.

Got the backlit keyboard too.

Mine does.

I received one of these on Tuesday, and it's all good except it only has 3GB of RAM, both installed in the system and reported as Original Configuration via support.dell.com, even though the advertised configuration is for 4GB. I have contacted Woot, we shall see the result...I know someone who ordered two of these and will check tomorrow if possible to verify that they got 4GB.

Thank you for the quick response. Friends, please check the computers that Woot has sent you. Mine is nothing like the description. I've taken the bottom cover off and discovered there is only 3 gb of RAM and the hard drive is not a SSD. It's a Seagate 250 gb mechanical drive rated at 7200 RPM. This is on top of not having a webcam.

I'm not sure. Just email service@woot.com. They've been very helpful with my issues. Try taking a photo and attaching it to the email so they know exactly what you're talking about.
