I thought it was a stretch to make Daneel Olivaw the supreme intelligence behind everything.

The last I remember was Daneel taking on a weird androgynous person as an apprentice or something, at the end of one book. Was there a book after that?

edit: wait, Asimov wrote some "prequels" too, about Seldon, I think. But Daneel is still everywhere.
