The unit shuts down when the battery level approaches 50%, and the battery drains constantly (even with BT & GPS disabled & no other apps running). Now when I try to turn it on the screen flashes white lights, then shuts down.

Really makes me wonder if Vizio even looked at these things before making them available for sale again.

We're sorry about that. Please send us an email at service@woot.com and we can give you some options. Make sure to include your order number.

I got mine on Monday. After a lot of tweaking, playing around, etc., I've gotten it to run pretty well.

I love the classic Android experience, so I installed Go Launcher EX and installed Honeycomb and ICS themes. Both are gorgeous, and run pretty well. I recommend doing this if you like the original Android look and feel. Using this also gives you the ability to re-size the widgets, but this seems to slow things down a little bit more.

Also, make sure you know what apps you're installing - I went a little crazy at first and installed a bunch, and noticed some slow downs. Uninstalled a couple that I noticed were running a lot, and using more RAM than they should have been, and it's MUCH better now, from the lock screen to opening apps and returning home.

Also, I'm pretty sure that mine was basically brand new. Had plastic around the entire bezel and sides, along with the screen. Charger is just a little loose, but it still works.

Here's the thing about charging it: If you use the included Vizio charger plugged into a wall, it will charge very fast and the battery indicator will change to indicate so. I used a USB port from a desktop computer and a different micro USB cable, and the battery indicator did not change. However, I noticed that it DID STILL CHARGE - just not as fast as with the charger.

As someone who works with technology every day and is a self-proclaimed gadget freak, I'm actually pretty darn happy with it so far. The real functionality is with cloud-stored documents. (Don't know if I can mention the name, but here's a hint: Great Googly Moogly!) I edit them on my work computer, then take the tablet to meetings and such, and have all the info there, ready to edit. The included remote control app is phenomenal! I've gotten it to work with every device I've tried it with so far, and it also has a setting where the channel switch controls one device, and the volume switch controls another! Perfect for cable boxes, etc. Admittingly, it's a little heavy for a remote control, but it's still fun and pretty useful.

You can access the MicroSD card if you install a program like "File Manager."

Hope this helps some people! Let me know if you have questions for me!

I like it except for the screen viewing angles. The screen is wide enough that the colors change when you use it normally. It makes me appreciate the Nook and Kindle Fire even more.

The refurbishment process removes scratches by using some sort of scratch polish resin that flakes off. Mine was okay since the scratches were on the bezel and not the viewable screen area.

I got mine a week ago 4-13 (scary), and went thru the update process. Then I put a 32GB micro SD card in....as others have said, it is somewhat difficult to to seat properly, took me three attempts, with a reboot after each.

It is somewhat slow from cold boot to ops, but the construction of the VTAB is very solid.

Really like the tablet, it does all the things I need it to do. There are some ergonomic design issues of the Vizio GUI.

The one thing I find mildly annoying is the lack of a forward button on everything....you can go back from almost anywhere, but not forward anywhere with finding the original forward link.

Aesthetic annoyance ....Live Wallpaper does not run on the Vizio adaptation of the Honeycomb OS.

Battery saving tips, the speakers suck energy...turn the volume down or off,

The back-lit LED screen is killer, and bright no matter what...I have been running at 40%, and the 1080p pass-thru on the microHDMI out to HDMI works great...very very nice.

Bought the Motorola headset yesterday on woot.com 4-20 (yeah!), and we will see how the bluetooth works and its affect on energy consumption.

Also, for those of you wanting to Root your tablet, well this is not the one for that at all.

Tablet arrived last week and seemed to be very satisfactory. At 5% remaining battery I plugged it in to charge. I began flashing the triangle in the center of the screen on and off like it was trying to reboot, but nothing happens. It does not respond to any key combinations including PWR-UP-DOWN or PWR-DOWN.

Anybody had any luck getting a replacement yet? I talked to Vizio on the 18th, jumped through their hoops, & got an email that same day saying my replacement had been shipped. Alas, when I search the tracking number on the UPS site, it's still just says that a shipping label has been created. Called back yesterday & didn't get anything more solid than "well it should have already shipped. We'll make a note to check with the warehouse. Call us back if UPS doesn't update in a day or 2." Anybody else having this problem or is mine the only one lost under a warehouse desk?

Got mine about a week ago, and love it.

I work smartphone/pda tech support for a national wireless provider in the US, so I have plenty of equipment comparisons to accurately make.

I can't tell you *who* I work for, but this tablet works as well as my old myTouch 4G and has similar hardware specs (less memory though) and is less powerful than my G2x, but powercycles itself way less often

GoLauncher HD for tablets (too bad about the lack of wallpapers)
Astro file manager
Perfect viewer
ADownloader
Netflix

And it arrived with the Honeycomb update already on it, no work to be done by me except to load the above list, sit back, and enjoy!

I had to email Woot with a similar battery drain problem. Doesn't seem to charge and when it does the battery lasts only a little while, even when the tablet is not in use. Stupid. Hopefully it is broken and doesn't just suck?

Update: while the packing label was created on April 18, it didn't actually make it to UPS for shipment until today, May 1. Not much impressed by that statistic. I'll try to remain optimistic & say they used those 12 days to actually inspect this unit before sending it out.

I got mine pretty quickly (for Smartpost) and was impressed. That is, until I really looked at it after getting home. There's some kind of dried substance on one of the speakers and the power adapter. I noticed that the charging port was a little loose but didn't know if it was the port or the cable. Now, it's so loose that the cable wiggles freely and won't charge unless I bend the cable in an awkward position, covering the screen. I took a small screwdriver and touched the port and the plastic piece that has the terminals is way loose. It seemed pretty solid until now.

Broken on arrival. the battery was DoA. no charge after 6 hours plugged into power source, and a dried powder under glass screen almost looked like something we that dried underneath. overall a very sour first time buying experience with you guys

Woot told me vizio would handle getting a replacement, however when i called vizio customer support my only option was to refund with woot. overall not thrilled with this whole experience.

I got one for my Mom, previous Woot. What I like about the Vizio is that it works. No hacks needed for Hulu Plus. Yugster has the refurbished tablet today for 184.97 plus shipping. Costco still has the Vizio new for 190.

Love it. EXCEPT when the battery wears out it cannot be replaced. That's what I was told by a Vizio tech. It can still be used, but with the ac adapter or an external battery source.

Well, it was nice while it worked. The charging port has stopped working properly. I have to fiddle with it for 10-30 minutes to get the orange charging light to turn on. The WiFi stopped connecting automatically and plugging in the wall charger reboots it.

Just sent some pics to VIZIO support. Looks like they will replace the tablet.

Yep, mine's dead. I accidentally let the battery run down and it will never pass the "battery" screen. The orange light is on and everything. I left it like this for three days.

Anyone want one of these for parts? I'm a little bitter.

That seems a bit weird. Email service@woot.com and see what they say. They may have some options for you.
