I got mine on Monday. After a lot of tweaking, playing around, etc., I've gotten it to run pretty well.
I love the classic Android experience, so I installed Go Launcher EX and installed Honeycomb and ICS themes. Both are gorgeous, and run pretty well. I recommend doing this if you like the original Android look and feel. Using this also gives you the ability to re-size the widgets, but this seems to slow things down a little bit more.
Also, make sure you know what apps you're installing - I went a little crazy at first and installed a bunch, and noticed some slow downs. Uninstalled a couple that I noticed were running a lot, and using more RAM than they should have been, and it's MUCH better now, from the lock screen to opening apps and returning home.
Also, I'm pretty sure that mine was basically brand new. Had plastic around the entire bezel and sides, along with the screen. Charger is just a little loose, but it still works.
Here's the thing about charging it: If you use the included Vizio charger plugged into a wall, it will charge very fast and the battery indicator will change to indicate so. I used a USB port from a desktop computer and a different micro USB cable, and the battery indicator did not change. However, I noticed that it DID STILL CHARGE - just not as fast as with the charger.
As someone who works with technology every day and is a self-proclaimed gadget freak, I'm actually pretty darn happy with it so far. The real functionality is with cloud-stored documents. (Don't know if I can mention the name, but here's a hint: Great Googly Moogly!) I edit them on my work computer, then take the tablet to meetings and such, and have all the info there, ready to edit. The included remote control app is phenomenal! I've gotten it to work with every device I've tried it with so far, and it also has a setting where the channel switch controls one device, and the volume switch controls another! Perfect for cable boxes, etc. Admittingly, it's a little heavy for a remote control, but it's still fun and pretty useful.
You can access the MicroSD card if you install a program like "File Manager."
Hope this helps some people! Let me know if you have questions for me!
