I know that WOOT has the right to change the rules - - - and - - - - that they do the judging - - - But - - - I have a couple of things to Bitch about this week (and - - YES - - I know I did not have an entry)

#1 - What is with the Crapy Post that doesn’t follow the THEME? (Movie Posters, the Mouth with Antenna teeth, Cartoons, etc…..)

#2 - Repost and Back Post are a true sign of a Mamas Boy that desperately needs to "Get a Life" and move out of the basement (especially by the age of 40)

#3 - Can't we keep the post Clean? (Oh I'm sorry - - - those posts must be from our Mamas Boy mentioned in “Bitch” #2 )

#4 - The "George Bush" post would have been OK if some effort was made - - - Otherwise it just SUCKS and it doesn't even deserve a dog bowl

After reviewing ALL the post that followed the THEME with my Co-workers - - - - -we have made a list of truly Good Photoshop Work:

1st ShagManilla - Awesome job and Perfect for the Theme is “Toilet Paper Roll”
2nd Memorymagic – Classic work with “IBM 79”
3rd Fade2Black – Just plain funny with “Stray Cats”

I really hope these contests aren't about photoshop ability. They SHOULD be about how funny the entries are. Regardless of whether it looks good or not. I guess it's up to the judges, but honestly, if it's about photoshop ability, I don't see any point in competing.

sdjkghfadkjfaiusfh. If you're not good at photoshop, are you INCAPABLE of learning more, practicing more, and becoming better? It's not art. It's not like I'm better at coloring one pixel than you are (unless you have parkinsons). Sure, people who are good at photoshop probably know tricks to make things look better/do things faster, but this isn't a natural ability. Everyone started from the same point, they've just made the effort to learn these things. If you're going to say there should be no judging on photoshop ability, you may as well say that effort doesn't count. I mean for heaven's sake, if this were a cooking contest and we were trying to make these elaborate meals to win, you'd argue that a good tasting grilled cheese should be in the running for winner, because the chef who made that doesn't have good cooking skills. There are a thousand and one photoshop tutorials on the web and I'm sure plenty of people here who would answer your questions on how to do something (or do it better) if you just asked. People shouldn't be rewarded for a lack of effort to be better.

1) Their contest. They can do whatever the hell they feel like. They like your skill with photoshop? Cool, you win. They like your imaginative, yet subtly funny entry? Well, there you go.

2) You don't see many retailers trying to keep interest in their sites by hosting small constest like this. You're here, you read, you may have posted, and you may even have participated. Genious.

3) Some of us don't participate to win (though it'd be a nice bonus) but rather for the challange and as an excuse to maybe learn something new with photoshop. Personally, I've learned quite a few things from trying to make an entry. Plus, this has encouraged my 12 year old son to learn a bit about photoshop and participate. Will it win? Probably not. But it was fun creating.

I don't even have Photoshop, but thanks to Woot, I still get to participate and I'm thankful for that. These are hella fun and wayyyyy better than working on Friday afternoons. 8)

Some of you guys should join my Society!!!

What is the point of a 'Photoshop Contest' if it has nothing to do with Photoshop ability? I just wanted to say I had a fun first week (flaming drama aside), even if I didn't get a chance to get started until 10pm Sunday night.

Also, I guess after seeing the antennae teeth, Bush, etc, I figured installing it in Tinky Winky and the ship from Zero Wing would be on theme, relatively speaking if nothing else. :) I apologize to those running the contest if it wasn't.
