your not just adding all your photos to it and had one post for this contest....this cleo post is on page 1 and page 10....whats up with that...I saw it on page one.....why did you reposte it on pg 10.and after the contest went back to page one and you had some pic's that I had never seen (some good ones that were a pleasur)..and because it seems that is how the "you ripped my idea" fights come from and yes you people do get into I did it first fights.....and besides I like viewing all the work....but damn.....I'm not going through 10 pages over and over to see if someone has inserted a new pic.....and veiwing some of these , once is enough.......

I guess the contest isn't about Photoshop ability after all. First Place winner was okay - second place was average and third place I was shocked. The quality was terrible. I am definitely surprised at this week's winners and although I know WOOT has the privelege to choose whomever they want to win - I don't understand they're thinking at all. And everyone has a right to their opinion good or bad. So this was mine.

yeah i really liked the engine install, it was a nice clean photoshop job, i would have picked it over the other of charon's.

The Engine was my intended horse in this race, I did the other two just for fun with the little time I had left.

Yes, indeedy, that's my original post, really. The resemblance is pretty uncanny, eh? Right down to the "Captain: Woot!" caption. But I admit it wasn't much of a stretch from the original, and the original "Captain: What!" was just begging for that revision.

You did a better job of pixelating the product, though--I'll give you that. And hey, you WON, which is the most significant difference. I'm embarrassed for all of the people who complain about the judging, as if this were some sort of Olympic event. I was just bemoaning the fact that my non-winning, no honorable-mention entry wound up winning 1st this week... but congrats to you for making that idea work for you. AYBABTU makes an excellent "literary" reference for this Woot crowd, methinks, so there's no way you'll hear me saying I didn't like your entry :)

WELL THEN ...he should not expect it to win because the other one did not win....just to bizar though....

Guys, it's not about the photoshop skills! It's about HOW FUNNY & CLEVER IT IS!

A lot of the high quality entries this week were really dry. That's just how it works.

For the record, the game is "Zero Wing." AYBABTU is way too long.

I regretted posting stuff as I headed home tonight; I love the photoshop contests. I don't mean to add to the chorus of whiners. I just felt compelled to point out that "I coulda been somebody", because photoshop-wise, I had such a similar entry a few weeks ago (in terms of frame-grab, text changes, and product placement) . . . peace and woot to all. And props to Woot; keep up the great work (and to everyone else, keep up the good photoshopping)!

... And on a completely unrelated note: Got my prize from the contest a few weeks back. Takes a bit of time, but Woot does pay off for these shindigs.

I think it's kind of, um, shady? uncool? that Woot charges the card before shipping the product... I actually thought that wasn't even legal, but maybe that's a state law, or maybe it's just widely considered unethical or something. Anyway, I'm glad to see them finally in motion, a week later...

The jumper cables reminds me of my first date w/ my future wife....

I had just purchased a new car sterio, and didn't have time to properly install it, so I did a temp job w/ alligator clip jumpers to the fuse box. We weren't but a couple of blocks away from the apt. complex where we both lived when a big bump in the road knocked one of the cables loose. Of course it was the + jumper, and smoke with that wonderful electrical fire smell starts pouring out of the dash.

I pull over and she grabs the door handle of my recently purchased used '62 Karman Ghia, and it comes off in her hands. So she's trapped there in this "burning" car. I stopped the short in a couple of seconds, with only a minor burn, and we continued the date.

We've been married for almost 28 years now. I guess the moral of the story may be that a memorable first date may be better than a good one?

these last couple of years have been pritty crasy busy...

Hopfully now im at this job ill have more time for the stuff i did back in the day.... like Photoshop Contests.. lol

some of these photoshops are just awful. I could do better with nothing more than windows basic paint!!
