Hey check it out:
$179.99
That's a price drop, again!
Also, another drop on Sellout which I did not mention earlier, my mistake:
It's now $139.
I'm just hanging out, really.

I have one I got on ebay, the T-Mobile 4G version. You don't need a SIM card, it works over WIFI fine.
- You DO need an SD card, or adapter as it doesn't take an mico-SD like the phones.
- The screen quality isn't fantastic, and it is from a couple years ago. It displays fine though.
- NO ICE CREAM SANDWICH, as it only has 512M RAM. Also there is no official upgrade to Honeycomb for the T-Mobile model either.
- Has some weight, but it doesn't bother me.
- The camera is TERRIBLE!! The flash isn't good either.
I'm happy with mine, though it's not a first choice. I just use it to read books, check the internet and emails, and maybe view some pics. Could also video chat, just haven't gotten there.

Well, even with the new price...I'd still rather go with the Kindle Fire. And let's compare apple-to-apple (refurb-to-refurb). The Kindle Fire Refurbed officially by Amazon is $169... And we all know if we put Amazon's customer service versus Dell, who would win...
I couldn't have said it better myself. The savings off the Dell Streak cannot compare to the grief you would have to go through for Dell Customer support in case you need any assistance. My experience with Amazon is 1000 times better than Dell. Woot's Customer service is aces in my book as well.
I saw the price drop here on Woot and Sellout.woot, and these things could drop to 100 bucks each, and they would still not be a worth it.
I have a Kindle Fire, and I love it. I got it for $139 when Amazon had it for their Goldbox Deal of the day.

I mentioned this on Sellout's deals.woot entry, but I'll mention it here too.
For those concerned about battery life, because this unit charges off USB you can use a USB battery extender to boost your battery life by the order of an hour, at least. (2.78Ah internal + 1.8Ah booster avg. = 4.58Ah total)
Woot occasionally sells the things. Go forth, be merry, and have the POWER!
Notable Woots:
1 Samsung Modus Bluetooth Headset Kit, 2 MuzxDNA Earphones (one lost, one destroyed) superceded by 2 MEElectronics M16 Earphones, 2 Phantom S107's, 1 Art101 124-piece art set, iGo rechargable battery set, way more Fuji batteries than I immediately know what to do with, 1 Dell Streak 7" Tablet
1 Big Old Chevy dated 3/22/2011, #4 of the night (!).
1 Bundle of Caravans dated 4/25/2011

FYI, for those that care about T-Mobile's "4G" service, Time Magazine published a speed test conducted by PC World for major wireless service providers yesterday, link below:
http://techland.time.com/2012/04/18/report-the-fastest-4g-and-3g-wireless-networks-in-america/
http://www.pcworld.com/article/253808/3g_and_4g_wireless_speed_showdown_which_networks_are_fastest.html
To summarize, T-Mobile came in third in "4G" but first in 3G. 4G is in parenthesis because T-Mobile's 4G is not true 4G, but enhanced 3G.
I am not responsible for this post.

In my 3 or so year history with Woot, I don't think I've ever seen so many negative comments about a product; this thing must really suck.
