Does anyone know if they work on the PS3?

I owned the SD-9 headset and really liked them. Unfortunately, while the headset still works, the LED has burned out, so it takes some doing to figure out whether they're on or off and paired to my iPhone.

I'm a runner and these stay in place perfectly. The only downside is wearing glasses with them. It can get pretty uncomfortable with the pressure of the earpiece of the headphone and glasses pressing against the back of your ear. I work around it by putting the glasses on top of the plastic loop, but depending on the type of glasses you wear, you may not be able to do this, or have them stay in place securely.

I definitely like these better than ear buds, which is why I ordered a new pair. They won't come off when you're running and they mate perfectly with my iPhone 4. These normally go new for about $50, so this is a good price. I don't mind that they're refurbished. My experience is that they'll be as good as new.

I don't like dangly bits on or in my ears, so I chose the BestBuy Rocketfish private brand. They work very well with my computers and cell phones, and have a very long battery life. Not a deal at their price, of course.

Hard to wear with a collared shirt.

Has anyone gotten these working with windows XP? Connects/Pairs through my made in china usb bluetooth adapter but windows won't recognize them as an audio device in the audio device property window...

I've owned some conventional one-ear bluetooth phone headsets, but they've never been as loud as I'd like. Is this set loud enough to use in an environment with significant (but not over-the-top) background noise, like on an airplane?

I'd be surprised if it hasn't been said already (and I'm not likely to read through five pages of comments to find out), but the writeup was disturbing and amusing all at once! Bravo!

[EDIT: Also, they look like Lt. Geordi La Forge's VISOR from Star Trek: The Next Generation.]

Yes, but you need Blue Tooth stack software. You can have a hardware connection, but no software.

I picked up a cheap Chinese USB and had the same issue. Bought an AZiO BT USB adapter at newegg (like $12 at the time) and got the software. Once I had that the Chinese USB worked also, but used the AZiO as it had a much better range. Use the Chinese USB on a different PC now, but use same software

Waker1 wrote:I had the same gripes with the ear buds; where did you find replacements and for what price, if you please? We still have our original sets but the missus has lost every bud except for one, not one set mind you, one! She'll be happy with these updated ones. I like that these have the micro-usb that our cellphones have. That'll be one less headache with the charging valet we have.

I found the replacements on the Motorola web store after a google search. They were about $12 if I remember correctly and have about 6 pairs of different sized earbuds. Sorry, but I don't have a part number. A quick search on amazon for motorola s10-hd earbuds returns several options.

Hope that helps!

I have had the S9's for about 3 years and have loved them. The battery life is starting to fail so I am ordering these. I have heard the sound quality isn't as good on the new ones but for $25 I am going to give it a try! I have been very happy with the S9 so hopefully these will be at least close to as good! I paid $100 for the S9's 3 years ago so this is a steal!

Anyone use these while running? I may be in for one if they stay still and aren't entirely heavy.

They work great on an airplane. I can't listen to msic at full volume from my iPad. Low level movie audio can be hard to hear sometimes, but that could just be my od ears..

My wife's been wanting a pair of wireless headphones for when she works out at home in the mornings and doesn't want to disturb the rest of the family. Is there anyway you can get the signal to transfer from your TV to the headset?

I don't believe bluetooth is allowed on commercial airlines.

For those asking about mid-large sized heads, I have one of these (and a large head) and did just fine by turning them upside down (so the curl goes UNDER the ear instead of over) The earbuds are at a different angle, but I'm totally impressed with the sound and I workout in a loud area and can watch videos of tv shows.

The one problem that I've had is that occasionally after a long workout the music app on my iphone will bug out and start playing the music at double speed with no way to stop it. I have to go kill the app to stop the music. I'm not sure which part of the process is causing this, so I can't be sure it's the headphones. Which is why I'm buying another one today!

For some reason, these stay paired MUCH better w/ my iPhone 4 than my Blackberry. As with any BT device, their connection is considerably better and more reliable indoors than outside, which is a bummer for those of us who long for running without wires.

Well that just can't be good for your ears. Plus, how do you take them off when you're done?

Bought this for $69 at WalMart a couple months ago...I like it. I use them with a DroidX and a Blackberry Bold. For calls, mostly on the Bold, I am told the sound is ok, but it will pick up some wind noise at times. I like having the caller in both my ears. I also use them running Pandora on my DroidX. Works very well.
The weight may be an issue for some. I have a large head, so they fit tight, prob tighter than most. The ear buds can come off, one drop of superglue on each side solved that once I picked the size I liked.
I own several other BT headsets, all single ear. After a couple months with this, it is my favorite.

They're not too heavy. They will sag in the back as you run until they come to rest on the back of your neck. It's really not as bothersome as it sounds. I gotta tell ya that at $25, you wont find any better wireless headphones for running. At 25 bucks, make that for anything!

Oh forgot to add - I wear glasses, very thin wire frame, no problems. Glasses on first, then headset. Perfectly comfortable.

Don't get these wet! Even a little bit of sweat fried them. I was sent three replacements within the year of warranty coverage. So getting them refurbished means you're getting someone elses old sweaty headphones!!

You should be able to get a simple bluetooth USB dongle and sync them up, unless your computer has a bluetooth adapter built in. The guy I work with does that which is why I talked myself into buying them.

I loved my S9's. They worked with my 2 computersm usb dongle, and cell phone. My battery completly died that is the only reason I am getting a new set.

the KEY on the use with a computer is if the computer has Bluetooth. Many laptops do. Otherwise, a Bluetooth dongle, that is barely seen when plugged in, are ubiquitous (found almost anywhere).

If they work with the PS3, you could go that way. I'm kind of trying to figure that out myself.

I own the red (now avaialble only in red.) I LOVE THEM!!!!!! Work with BOTH my Iphone AND my Motorola Droid X. They are plenty loud for me, and there is a TV in my gym, 10 feet from where I work out. I have a buddy who had a pair and his gym is REALLY NOISY, and he said they weren;t loud enough for him though.

Chargeing is micro USB, which is the same as my DroidX...no issues there. I have only charged them twice since Christmas and I use then 3-4x per week for about an hour each time. Came with 4 different ear-rubber 9no jokes) sizes, and I like the smaller ones. It DOES take a while to get used to them resting on the BACK of your skull, but once you are past that, they just sit nicely!

BTW, get the red ones. The white ones are first generation, and have the bulk of negative reviews on Amazon.

Well shoot - that would have been nice to know before I ordered the white ones. According to an amazon review, the only major differences between gen1 and gen2 are the aesthetics, and the buttons and battery life are a bit better on the gen2s. From the review..."The performance seems to be the same with the new ones as the old ones, though the buttons are a little easier to operate and the battery life appears to be longer."

Doesn't sound like much of an official review between the two generations, so I'm going to go ahead and assume that there isn't that much difference between the two. Anyone else heard otherwise?

You can disregard the above...I really don't know what I'm talking about.

I have these headphones and find that the features are great. The fit is fine for my head. Yesterday was the first time that I had an opportunity to use the hands free capability. I find the sound great whether using it with my iPod or BlackBerry Curve. But the bad news... this is the 4th set that I have had. The previous 3 died I would guess from sweat. I usually use them while running. Replacing them usually requires about a twenty minute call and I have to pay for shipping the defective pair back. I am frustrated that Motorola hasn't stepped up and offered to give me different (better) model or at least pay for return shipping. I love the headphones but if this set fails I will probably try the Plantronics or something similar.

So you HAVE used them with PS3? I can't seem to find a straight answer on whether or not they will work for PS3?

No thanks, I had a pair if you are using them to workout at all do not expect them to last (with the sweat) as they died within a month or so.
