anyway, my boyfriend bought these for me this morning because apparently he can't always hear me when I'm on my bluetooth.
I have chronic ear problems and get ear infections extremely easily. I always super sanitize anything I'm going to put in my ears when I buy them new so of course I would with these, but does anyone have an idea of how these are disinfected when they're returned? The thought of exposing myself to a possible ear infection doesn't seem worth the lower price.

I'm betting the earbuds are all new replacements. I can't imagine them exposing themselves to the lawsuits that would arise from spreading diseases.

When I bought an in ear monitor system from guitar center they told me it wasn't returnable due to the human contact issue and that it was a law. I'm sure a salesman would never lie (hehe) so YMMV.

Nice for a novelty item but you lose a lot of the sound clarity due to the fact that they don't have a good seal for the ear.

Put your earbuds in halfway if you want to know how these sound.

I'm curious as to why you think that refurb'd instantly means that they're more likely to be infected? Doesn't a new pair boxed in a far-off land by some random factory worker have a similar likelihood of bacteria on them?

Either way, you sound like the kind of person who uses a lot of disinfecting wipes - and rightly so - and these have removable rubber ear-buds, so just wipe them down a few times, let them dry, and pop 'em on. Should be A-okay.

I do thoroughly disinfect new ear buds, or anything that goes into my ear, before I use them. My thinking that refurbs are more likely to be infected is that the factory workers aren't sticking them in their ears before putting them in the box (hopefully!) and that the new ones have never been in anyone else's ear, unlike refurbished ones.

If you missed out on these, don't fret. GET THE JAYBIRD FREEDOMs. They are sweat proof and, in the rare event they malfunction because you sweat so much, they'll send you a replacement set. They don't budge when you run, they don't weigh anything, and they'll even give you a cool sticker.

They are ok.... Only problem .... The rubber pieces on the side came unglued to easily.

no happy, tried ordering this headphones( jus one pair) and got charged 4 times. so instead of payen $32.00 (with tax and deliviery) i got charged $128.00, so not happy. so woot has nooooo number to contact them and i need my money, WOOT CAN YOU PLEASE FIX MY ORDER,i still want my ONE order, but if its not fixed or no one answers you will loss another woot buyer

Also, a refurbished product is not necesarily a returned product. There are a lot of many reasons for products to be sold as refurbished, and they have never been used. Of course you never know what you will get (I mean what was the refurb reason), but common.

Received mine today, super fast! Thank you woot! Charged them up, paired them with my iPhone and low and behold the right speaker was blown! Boo! I was so excited to hop on the treadmill with them. Now on the phone with Motorola to get a replacement and their customer service is sub-par. Here's hoping that I actually get a non-defective replacement and that it actually arrives in the mail (questionable). You have to give your credit card number before they will send a replacement. Wish I would have received a working pair! Still love woot though!

Anyone know if it's possible to hook two of these up to the same device at one time (specifically a Motorola Xoom tablet)? I'd love to give these to both of my kids and have them watch the same movie in the car.

Btw, mine arrived yesterday; amazingly quick. So far it's a little painful on my large head, but I'm hoping that it'll loosen up over time as I've seen some reviewers suggest should happen.

I sure hope so. My head's pretty big, like it might be retaining water.
