The mandolina set is $225 at Macy's.

Great deal.

Whatever you buy resist the temptation to buy 18/0 or even 18/8. I have an older set of Oneida 18/10 that still looks brand new. I wanted to buy another set for replacements since no matter what, I end up somehow loosing something each year. I saw the exact same pattern on sale at amazon so I purchased it. I was surprised that they were 18/8. when they arrived it was obvious that they were not the same quality. I lucked out and found another 18/10 set on ebay. By the way, my spoons don't bend in ice cream. These are great deals on woot. Buy 2 that way you will not need to hunt for replacements down the road. Also do NOT use any lemon dishwasher detergent or for that matter organic ones with citric acid. These will dull the finish.

I got a set from a previous Woot. I'm really happy with it, and at this price it's a real bargain.

Glad my tastes are different than most people! Mandolina was the only one I was considering; the wife agreed (though she liked the Maderno a little better); so in for 1!

I have this set. It is very strong. No, it shouldn't bend unless you are a super hero.

Actually yes.. still using an old IBM keyboard from the 80's that was manufactured in the US..
of course the rest of the system is from China or Taiwan.. but i have no other choices now do I ? And what does that have to do with flatware or the quality of metal?

Nooooooooo! Found something on Woot the wife actually wanted to buy other than a T-Shirt and it's sold out!

The Maderno design was "just right." Not too elegant, not too simple.

On the plus side, this may turn the wife into a Woot addict, checking at 1AM (Eastern) every night..

sidenote: even if they were "made" in the US, the metal would still come from China. better than all China I suppose.

You have to woot early and often, just like voting. The good stuff goes fast. Sign up for the daily email. That's easier than checking the web site.

I had to wait until 7:00 AM to get the Carolina set and I was concerned about it selling out.

From our spiffypants FAQ:
Will I receive customer support like I'm used to?
No. Well, not really. If you buy something you don't end up liking or you have what marketing people call "buyer's remorse," sell it on eBay. It's likely you'll make money doing this and save everyone a hassle. If the item doesn't work, find out what you're doing wrong. Yes, we know you think the item is bad, but it's probably your fault. Google your problem, or come back to that product discussion in our community and ask other people if they know. Try to call the manufacturer and ask if they know. If you give up and must return it to us, then follow on to the next FAQ entry.

Picture got cut off for some reason. You can see more on the pictures from woot homepage.

It's got to be just about impossible to hide all reflections from the camera or lighting rigs on multi edged items like this.

They must not have thrown a white sheet over the camera if they do that at all.

I will be yet one more person who says that my wife and I bought a set of 18/10 Oneida flatware (I think it's Satin Easton) from Woot a couple months ago and absolutely love it.

My previous flatware was something I bought at Macy's in 1988 when my girlfriend moved out and I had to restock the kitchen. (Actually I kicked her out. Sorry, Lisa.) I liked it a lot but pieces had disappeared over the decades. But we could never find anything that we could afford that we liked better. And we both hate to shop so we only looked a few times. Buying from Woot was so much better than going to a mall!

Why does it say that two of the styles are not dishwasher safe when you go to order them? They have to be dishwasher safe right?

I bought one of these for myself. I now want to buy more as gifts but woot won't let me. Anyone know why? Or how I go about doing this?

Thanks!

if you're in the market for flatware, it's too good a deal...you're either going to pay 2x the amount for the same quality or you're gonna pay more for soft metal flatware...i hit the last style available; it will do just fine...

Thanks!

We only allow one purchase per day per account.

If you want to purchase to send to a separate address, you'll need to create another account with a different payment method.

If you want to increase your order, you can try emailing service@woot.com but there's a possibility that it could sellout before they get to your request. You could still be better off using another account.

Not sure what you mean. Carolina & Maderno are sold out. It adds the text 'selection is invalid' to the end of the description making for some really weird wording. Is that what you are seeing?

Thanks Woot! All this talk about flatware has convinced me to finally take the 53 piece and 20 piece sets of Oneida Flight out of my closet for use. I bought them in 2004 (from your parent company) and they have traveled with me in my moves across the country, but I never opened the boxes. And as a bonus, they're made in the USA too!

Thanks again Woot! My fingers will be happy!

Edit: 18/8 stainless steel too, not the 18/0 Oneida now uses for the Flight series.

Just have to say I received a 12-piece set of Oneida flatware when I got married in 1971. Has been used DAILY since then and it still looks like it was bought yesterday. I've even been asked by company where I got my "new" flatware! I hope the quality of today's product is the same . . . absolutely amazing.
