Great price for a 18/10 set. These are good quality and won't rust. Personally I prefer the Mandolina set as it adds a little bit of elegance.

Yep. 18/10 is what you want. But I want fish forks too. Pass.

I've always been a fan of Oneida. They make good quality items and don't charge you an arm and a leg for them.

If I didn't already have an Oneida Silverware Set, I would jump on this for the price.

Careful, if you buy this you might start to realize how crappy the rest of your dinnerware is. Then you're going to be spending a lot of money on new plates and glasses.

My wife and I purchased the set that was on home.woot on 4/12 (Oneida 62-Piece Flatware Set) and we really like it. Great quality at a price that's unbeatable. This deal offers some good options if you are in need of flatware IMHO.

I'm hoping this still seems like a good deal when I get up in the morning.

If so, in for one!

I also bought two sets of the Oneida offered on Home Woot. They are nice but darn I admit I like the look of the Maderno style better than what I bought. Those were a little too plain. But no need for any more.

What a coincidence! At a friend's last week, we saw the Carolina set in use. Very solid, excellent detail and finish, and unembellished elegance.

We need new flatware - our existing stainless set is more than 20 years old.

I was pleasantly surprised by Woot's price. Very nice...

I bought some Oneida flatware years ago on my first woot account, when I moved out to go to college. Still have it, and use it every day. Wish we had some money to replace it, since these look nicer, and have serving pieces.

Great price for great stuff. Buy 3.

Will the tablespoon bend under the duress of scooping ice cream?

My mother *just* bought the Carolina set last month. It's nice. If I hadn't inherited her Pfaltzgraf castoffs I would definitely be in for one.

The Oneida set my Grandmother had when I was little were the only tablespoons I've come across that don't bend when scooping ice cream. I'm convinced they were indestructible.

You need a good ice cream spade.

These sets come with the 5 piece serving set - a very nice addition. I wish the Home Woot set from a few weeks ago had come with the serving pieces. The only place I can find for the "missing pieces" to match the set I purchased adds another $30 to the price.

This is the better deal if you like any of the patterns and the 18/10 stuff cannot be beat for quality and durability.

Buy 2 because single piece replacement prices make it well worth the investment now!

This is definitely a good deal -- it would even be a decent deal for 18/10 service for 8, but this is for 12, so it's even better. It seems like it's getting harder and harder to find 18/10 stainless-- a lot of the new stuff is 18/0.

YES! Just complained to hubby today about being unable to make the bent spoons spoon. Now I'll have an extra set of everyday spoons that will spoon! If he uses them to scoop ice cream...

In for two of the Maderno. It's a great deal and I like the pattern, so it works.

My parents have had their set of Oneida silverware for over 30 years. The only replacements they've needed were for lost pieces, never any for rust or anything like that. *And* they are the 18/8 type which apparently isn't quite as good as 18/10 (Chateau is their pattern, if anyone is curious). So having grown up using them everyday, I definitely recommend Oneida.

Oneida flatware is typically well made. 18/10 is very durable and has a nice heft. However, Oneida tends to make short handles when compared to other manufacturers and depending on how 'dainty' or 'large' your hands are will make a difference.

One set we own is American Traditions and my husband does not like it at all. I have another set by another company that has longer handles and tines. Both make it to the dinner table daily.

Silverware? Boring! Plastic sporks are good enough for me.

Nice that it has a dozen of each common used utensil because you never know when the dish might run away with the spoon.

I swear there is a fork eating monster that lives under my sink. 4 months after I bought a set, I'd already lost 2 forks!

I've had a set of Oneida flatware 18/10
for 15 years called American Harmony very solid, weighty, and still looks brand new-Its the only silverware I have so it's used everyday, but still looks really great on a formal or holiday setting-no special treatment pops right into the diswasher-well made-

How often have Woot offered Onieda 18/10 flatware for sale? I missed out on the 62 piece on 4/12 and just decided whether to jump in on these or not as a gift. None of the three designs is a must have design.

18/0 contains no nickel- your stainless steel wont stay shiny as (or for) long. 18/10 and 18/8 are your best bets for quality and a shiny shine for decades-

I bought the Onieda set a couple of weeks ago and it is good quality and substantial. Much better than some I was looking at in Macy's. Recommended.

If it does you shouldnt be eating the ice cream- ice cream is made to taste its very best slighty thawed (not rock hard). What I do is place the ice cream in the container, lid off, in the microwave for 15 to 40 seconds on high,(depending upon how big a container you have). No bent Oneida spoons and a great developed ice cream taste.

I complained about the quality of the set offered on 1/25/2011 and have held my tongue at least twice since then. The pattern Woot (finally!) offered earlier this month turned out to be exactly what I wanted ... maybe the Universe/Woot gods have something nice in reserve for you, too?

Man, this is a good deal. I have an Oneida 18/10 service for 8 from 15 or so years ago that I just love, but of course the pattern doesn't exist any more.

I think I may have to jump at this one.

Also, those of you needing a good ice cream scoop, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I actually have 5 different varieties. (What? WE LIKE ICE CREAM. DON'T JUDGE.)

This is, by far, the best of the bunch:

I'm really excited about this order. I have been using an Oneida 18/10 set for 30+ years and it still looks good. I'm getting these as a gift for my son. He has a lower quality Oneida set, and it just doesn't hold up. This is a great deal for 18/10! Also I bought two sets because he'll never be able to buy matching replacements anywhere near this price.

And the pierced serving spoon can be used to get herb leaves off the stem (push stem in a hole in spoon pull from back side of spoon and the leaves like rosemary stay in spoon)

If you ever want to stop being a fan of Oneida have a read. had a great time informing my friend "who" made what he ate off of when he bought a set LOL. Granted they stopped production a few years ago and just market overseas stuff now.
