My Daddy gave told me once that he was lucky that he had a job he loved. He knew what he wanted to do from the time he was working as a soda jerk in a pharmacy. He was a pharmacist until the day he died and loved it.
That stuck with me and I've tried to make sure that I found careers and jobs that I could enjoy. Part of it comes from within - attitude, drive, etc. The other comes from the mutual respect and appreciation of the company, your boss, and coworkers. I've been exceedingly blessed that almost most of my bosses have given me opportunity to grow and try new things.
Ohhhh, I feel preachy.
I completely agree, it's just been that there's been a lot of my life that I haven't been able to be very picky about what work I do. However, I'm certainly enjoying being a chemist nowadays. It's challenging, but mentally, rather than physically. My health isn't so great, and my wife's is worse, so stress is a bad thing.
Though, I wish there was a market for bicycle messengers in Dallas. I could totally ride all day... Low impact exercise is awesome, and doesn't hurt. I currently ride somewhere in the range of 10-12 miles a day, and wish I had time to do more. :3

The damn thing just falls to the ground when I let it go! The other side just laughs and questions again my involvement in this organization (she did like the silverware you requisitioned in a previous forray) I appreciate your situation in that you have to make a little go a long way, but you have to put yourself in your troops' shoes! It is good to see that the troop’s spirits are up. I have enjoyed the correspondence reporting a better experience and a renewed energy in the field. The last deployments and the new battle plan seems to have been received well.
For those troops that procured a ration, the deployment of those started today and that wave should be complete by midday tomorrow. Keep your eyes open for communiques from your information officer about deployment tracking information.
I will address you again at the end of the day tomorrow with updates and, possibly, some dry humor. Until then, clean your keyboards and mice. Well-maintained equipment is the key to a successful Woot Off.

Glad to here that shipping is in progress. My
Swann Action Cam w/ Waterproof Case, which I ordered the day AFTER the WOOT off has already arrived.
Actually, the Action Cam, which appears to have shipped USPS all the way, has also gotten here before my monkeys & Drill drivers, which are coming SMARTPOST, thus proving that pure snail mail is FASTER than SLOWPOST.
By the way, has anyone else noticed that Amazon is shipping via SMARTPOST some now? They used to bring us goodies exclusively via UPS here in good ole Alabamie. Including the memorable time my husband paid extra for 1 or 2 day delivery & the book he needed was delivered to "the office on the second floor". We were quite indignant, since the address was our *house*. The book finally showed up 10 days after it was ordered. And Amazon refunded the shipping charges.

No, NO it's :
--crap. he is crap ...
Don't be a piglet! Last time I looked, "he" still meant anyone but "she" is gender specific.
I know, I'm whining, but NOT about the crap.

I have a tracking number!! Woot!!!!111!!!
I used my order number as reference. It's being shipped via FedEx Home Delivery and is scheduled to my home here in NW Oregon for May 8th.
It's at the standard 1lb placeholder weight, which never changes for me on bags of crap.
Thanks, Woot!
Don't look at me, I'm hideous!
Eleven bags of crap and counting.
