Ha! That made me chuckle.

Bought a refurbished one last time around and it completely died after 6 months.
Still, that's a real fast shipment. Tracking says it's already at the post office.
Got mine today. Definitely not an official Apple refurb... In fact there is no Apple logo at all on the case. The buds and connector are also 3rd party as well. It does however operate as one would expect. I think the fit and finish are not quite as good as a genuine Apple (sharp edges where the glass meets the back metal, etc...) but once put into a case I hope it will be fine. I will report my experience on any future woots!

It was never advertised as an Apple refurbishment. That is why it has a 90-day Woot warranty. If you have any issues in that time, please contact service@woot.com for assistance.

Looks to be in good condition. Packaging though says there's a "Quick start guide" but it was MIA, unless it meant the sticker on the internal shrink wrap recommending an initial 4- to 6-hour charge.
Hey why is the back of the unit not the original; it does not have the apple logo, 32g, or the CE/UL labels. The unit looks like a fake. Not much of a deal for a fake. I've bought refurbished items before and everything is original but this this unit looks like a knock off. I am going to email woot and get a refund.

Mine was DOA, I got a RMA number from Woot and shipping label. Still waiting for a refund.
[quote postid="4964291" user="ahrjones"]Refurbs are tested thoroughly - not just popped off the assembly line. I prefer them for Apple items.[/quot Had a problem with my unit from this woot. Had to send it back. Much racther spend a few extra $ for Apple warranty
For over a month now (because I'm so busy with 'real' activities) I've tried to charge the battery. I had thought it went into deep sleep or something as I wasn't constantly using it. Just now back from Apple Store where they diagnosed a hardware fault. They were all set to swap out for a brand new unit until they noticed the back case was not original. DAMN -- was led on to believe Woot was selling APPLE REFURBISHED / authorized units. Apple now, will not do anything since they need the serial number - which is USUALLY ON THE BACK CASE - and since it will not start up, can't determine what the SN actually is. Thanks a lot Woot. Now I have a fairly expensive, albeit barely used, item that may stop me from buying any more from your site. Agree with previous postings here -- buyer beware!!
