Just picked up 3. They'll make great Father's Day presents, birthdays, etc. Because of the amount of footage involved here, it makes a gift look like a whole lot more than what you paid for. ;P

got one for my dad a couple years ago and he loved it. he's into the war movies and documentaries, so it made a perfect father's day gift (shop early and impress your mom!).

Okay, seriously, Woot, how drunk were you when you bought these? I've been seeing them here for YEARS, and obviously, there are still more.

Also, did the person responsible get fired? Or (more likely imo) promoted?

I purchased one of these the last time around. It is an incredible deal! I still haven't gotten through all of the DVD's.

I agree, if my dad was still alive he would be getting this. He fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Go ARMY!

I bought this set last time and have watched the first few videos. It's good, but no rivoting if you are there for the action. It's great if you are a history buff, however. Lots of old pictures, video where available, historical perspectives, and so forth.

I've purchased this in a previous woot offering. It's pretty good, my only critique is that it needs more cats.

...sorry for your loss but thankful for his service to our country in those 3 wars ~ my dad died in 2007 at 93 and never regretted a minute of his time fighting for his country as a siclian immigrant who came to the US in the 20s. he, like your dad, passed on before i could gets this for him, but my 87 y.o. father-in-law who was in the navy during wwii enjoys them.

Reminds me of May 20th, 2009.

I might be interested, but I'd rather wait until I see something I'll actually use more than once.

I've seen this the past couple times for the Woot-Off. This Is The Army is such a great film, super catchy music. The History Major inside me is very excited to watch these! :D

Yeah, kids today should be required to watch them. Video games might take on another meaning when they realize people actually died for us.

Is fine, they just should not list such quantities. No when they limit the people who actually want to buy it to only 3.

Ooops they forgot to include the War that got the US more that 50% of their original territory. Nah! not relevant...

I bought this a couple of years ago and shared it with my dad, a WWII Army Infantry vet. For the first time, dad opened up and talked about the war, how he got his Purple Heart and other medals.
Tears came to his eyes when we came accross the Battle of the Bulge. Over 2/3rds of his unit did not survive and he got his Purple Heart. Through this tin box of movies, I learned some serious family history.

If you are a History and War buff,you will love these.I bought this set from Woot over a year ago,and loved all of them.Good gift for someone who likes History.
