It does, but some backpacks come with those belts you can clip around your torso. I thought it was a possibility that could be the same thing.

The description and the picture on the Mountainsmith site makes it appear to be a waist strap with a buckle.

It can't be a fanny (butt) pack, because lumbar means low back, so this is actually a back pack.

I'd be in for this but I lost my lumbar after the war in a freak post traumatic stress disorder incident I don't care to discuss.
